It doesn't really imply to her as she needs to keep on practicing because she's way behind acting compared to others but hey there is always that one kid in the shadow who got talent in the back, and Ruby's a potential one. I just don't get it. for me, she's an interesting and unpredictable character that often moves the plot. she was understandably depressed when she was struggling on the reality show and then made a mistake that led to a witch-hunt on her. as for being the good guy, she's the same person who purposely hid the information regarding a loophole over aqua's dad and then later kept the true identity of aqua's dad to herself because she saw how miserable the revenge was for aqua and ultimately she just wants him to be happy. if she truly cared about the revenge then she would've told aqua about the loophole and the identity of his dad immediately. and a few chapters ago, she mentioned how aqua has gone too far and can't be stopped when she saw the extent he was willing to go for his revenge (leaking ai's secret) and now she wants to help him. |
| Eh, knew that Ruby was ultimately gonna get the role. So whether or not Ai forgives her murderer is a vital part of Ai's portrayal in the movie - it seems Ai had forgiven him based off of what she said to him (it may have been another lie but I don't think it was) moments before her death, but Ruby might not think so. Don't know if Ruby will be able to do an accurate job portraying Ai since she's biased as her daughter and fan, but we'll see I guess. Based off of this criteria alone, I think that Akane would've been a better choice. But storywriting-wise, Ruby was the obvious pick for the role and maybe Ruby understanding her mother's thought process may be an important development in the story. Wish we were at least actually shown how Ruby's acting improved instead of the narrator just outright saying it. Love seeing Akane and her awkwardness, she's adorable lol. |

| That was kind of a disappointing way to end it, with Ruby's perseverance winning. Yes, she was apparently getting better with each round, but if they had to do so many rounds, that means Akane was still the more convincing one overall. I'm wondering if Akane could still potentially get the role in the end, since it's not entirely up to the three of them? Although I'm not sure if Aqua wants Akane to get the role (but the director and producer will probably get the most say due to investors and other factors). |
Akane gave up the role to Ruby. Later in the chapter, we see Akane meet Aqua, she intends to cease Aqua's plan from going forward. Whether she will succeed in her goal is something that we still can not confirm. The complications her actions will bring might end up killing her as well, but there is a chance that Aqua had planned for that possibility. |

IMO aka made akane too OP when it comes to ai since he even had aqua say before that akane understands ai even better than him and we all know aqua understands ai better than ruby so logically akane understands better than ruby |

I was thinking despite that, what if they make it clear that she's the best fit for the role, maybe she will change her mind? But yeah, highly unlikely lol. I also doubt people (readers) would be happy if the tole is taken away from Ruby. |
