As an ancient skeleton myself, this sentiment is hilarious to me. I consider 1980 to 2009 the golden age. Most anime before 1980 is a bit rough, and anime after 2009 just doesn't satisfy me. 2000 to 2009 was particularly incredible. Banger after banger. But anime took a steep dive afterwards in my eyes, with only a few highlights here and there. After 2009 I just lost interest entirely, the premise of most shows and the horrid modern art style just lost me, so I stopped watching anime for years. (actually I'm still not watching anything current, but I do see some interesting shows popular at the moment, so they're on the backlog) |

| I watched some anime here and there my whole life.. Like some random stuff on TV.. But majorly I got into anime after I finished school.. So after 2012.. Did this period felt like coom anime?.. I don't know.. I think I can enjoy some ecchi.. But also when I started - seasonals weren't as a popular thing.. So I've first watched such stuff as Haruhi, Death Note, Spice and Wolf, Oreimo, Clannad, some other ones.. So I think that starting in certain year can also mean that with some chance you started with the anime behind that year.. Not everyone are into seasonals, especially getting into anime first.. |
