| This is an original series that's based on Tsukasa Ooshima's 90s Shoot! manga that has Toei Animation's 1993-1994 series. While it has some characters from the original series making cameos, it's purely its own thing that has the same setting, but with new characters. You'll probably waste your time watching the now-dated TV series. Yet another soccer series, but too bad it's in competition with Ao Ashi, and you can easily guess which is the better one. And the over-the-top drama starts from Hideto Tsuji, the boy whom was once a stellar player that now, doesn't want anything to do with soccer due to his haunting past, and relegating to being a NEET for a useless character. People finding trouble with Hideto, as such with one Jo Kazama ridiculing at him with the school Kakegawa High's once-prestigious position as champions, and orders a PK-match against him, scoring goals. To all you 3 people in the know, the original series' character of Kakegawa soccer team's vice-captain Atsushi Kamiya is back, but as a coach in the school's new generation of soccer. I can't help but feel that this anime should've been released in the mid-2000s instead and be left forgotten. A mediocre start and an absent-minded one at that. | Kazama is a wuss, how could you be intimidated by someone so small. No wonder Hideto scored against him, he's a weakling. As for Hideto, I wonder what happened for him to quit soccer. It definitely had to do with his happy weird friend. Maybe the friend made some moves on him, judging by the way he hugged him there. Hmmm?🤔 |

| Never seen the original, checked this out just because it was a football show but I wasn't really impressed. I'll try to give it a few more episodes but I'm not expecting too much. |

| Great episode! The OP was really good! Jo got angry at Tsuji for badmouthing football xD. He took it very seriously. He also asked him to try shoot the ball into the net and asks him to have a faceoff to which Tsuji declines and gets mad about. It seems after Tsuji's friend left the team, he couldn't score any more goals. He accepts Jo's next challenge of soccer when he sees him but requests a penalty match match. He scores many goals! Jo couldn't see where the ball was heading. Kamiya is going to be the team's coach. It seems Tsuji's friend turns up as the enemy team that Kamiya called in! Looking forward to the next episode! |

| the episode was BAD BUT there were 2 points which maked me wanna watch the next episode 1) i am curious about the match between the teams 2) i wanna see the interaction between the teams on how they rejected the practice match but they accepted cose of the famous coach, i wanna see some punching. if it was me i would stay out just for that reason |

| This anime screams 90s from its artsyle to its tropes, which makes sense as this is a sequel to a 90s manga called Shoot!that had Toei Animation's 1993-1994 anime series. While it has some characters from the actual series making cameos, it's purely its own thing that has the similar setting, felt like Tsuji's partner had passed away with how emotional he was getting but I am guessing he just moved away but without warning. It was kind of amusing to watch him freeze... Straight up from the 90s, nothing tactical like ao ashi . |

| Why couldn't they remake Aoki Densetsu Shoot instead? That was one of my favorite soccer anime but this one just seems bad. |

| Can't a man grin at a school football game in peace? Heavens above. Troubled Hideto can't quite rid of his dreaded football nightmare, to the point the word 'shoot' sets off his ptsd. What can solve this? A PK match, of course. Oh, and a legend booking a match that features his 'fap material'... eh, I mean 'ex-buddy'. From here on out, Hideto shall be called 'Shoot'. I proclaim this so. The mum is easily the best character. You can tell. They put the most effort into her, hehe. |
