| Damn, I forgot that I was waiting for this series to air and I just caught up. I haven't read the manga so I wasn't expecting any of this, I'm absolutely in love with the art style, animation and the writing so far. |

| Yeah, this show ain't for me. Though I must say I find people's opinion of the rape scene worse than the scene itself. Rape isn't funny. It's weird to me I even have to say that. Pedophilia isn't funny, torture isn't funny, murder isn't funny, none of the dark shitty parts of human suffering are funny, and any show that leans into that is not my cup of tea. Any people who look at that and laugh are demented, and I'm happy they live on the internet and far from me. Yeah, those are the kinda people I steer clear from for both our sakes. Ultimately, that scene wasn't why I dropped though. I just don't really like the characters. They're all kind of assholes, and I just know I'd be more annoyed than anything watching this. Except glasses guy and maybe Rin. So yeah, just my two or three cents and I'm on to watch shows that fit my own sense of entertainment a bit better. Edit: Also want to add that despite the characters and the rape scene, the art work and character designs are really cool. I particularly liked the character designs of Rin, the blonde ponytailed girl of the ED, and the black haired pigtailed girl. So they did that really well. I also really like the soundtrack. One thing I didn't like was the soundscape for the fight scenes. For some reason the fight scenes did not pack any punch for me, and even the parts that should have been satisfying did not deliver. Mostly because you never really heard the impact of the hits. It reminded me a lot of this Chinese animated show on Netflix about this overpowered highschooler. The visuals are awesome, but the audio backing it up doesn't really live up to it in my opinion. |

| Great animation, cool characters, fun fight scenes, interesting story. Really stupid and terrible depiction of rape. If a story has rape in it and it is handled well, then sure, whatever. I don't want to see it, but it's good to talk about and bring awareness or whatever purpose the author wanted to have it serve. But you can't just make light of a horrible situation and have it occur randomly when everything that came before it was pretty lighthearted. It's just bad shock value. Will continue but that slip-up is a stain on what otherwise would've been a great show. Seems like nothing else like that happens according to some manga readers... |
| op reminds me of mp100 a bit, in a good way tho i like it a lot. also really like the coloring style tho im probably a bit biased because of how i tend to like styles that aren't "anime-y" quicker. story is prety interesting, comedy works well with me, characters are fine none that i Like at the moment but none of them are annoying either, im definitely gonna enjoy this every week. skipped through that rpe scene, not looking forward to watching any more of those. one thing im ??? about is how the characters tell and now show, the glasses guy literally just told us what we could've easily figured out ourselves lol. same with the professor, they can just play the dialogues normally i dont get why they're doing it as if what's happening is hard to figure out kinda bugs me a bit |

(which is valid), and not follow up with anything that shows they have a beating heart or watch other genres outside of Shounen Battle anime. It probably says something that you probably wouldn't find a female viewer on here going "Ahahaha, that scene was hilarious!" / "Rape happens in war all the time, dude, get over yourself" (why is this even a defense?) I 100% agree with your take. You pretty much got to the heart of it for me. I can't detach from it. It's similar to how some people still tell rape jokes. It's not funny to me, and never will be. |

| Forgot about this series, decide to watch it... looks interesting with the trio, from the summaries it sounded like they'll be fighting against demons that gets revived... then the end of ep 1... another rape scene... fk this.... too many new series these days always includes a rape scene in episode 1... stop.. it might look interesting to eastern viewers, but rape is not fun to western viewers (mostly, cause some ppls think rape is a comedy or accepted if the anime is labeled 18+...) |

| This is why I'm glad Japan doesn't usually cater to Western audiences, it has a sexually graphic scene that has been toned down from the manga right at the end and still half the discussion has turned into a cesspool (a lot of it from one person). Never mind characters literally getting stabbed through the heart or their head knocked off. The show is bright and colourful but has a dark undertone that is interesting to me, creators shouldn't have to walk on eggshells to appease everyone. Are we supposed to remove rape from every form of media and pretend it doesn't exist? Now moving away from that topic; I think this was a really good first episode to set everything up and showcase what it is about, art style is definitely a standout and is what brought me to this anime in the first place as I had passed over it initially only reading the description and thinking it sounded a little generic but they have me interested. |

| Something about this just feels off. Like it looks like it's going to be a really fun time, but somehow it's really... stiff? Like, I didn't have fun watching this at all. The characters really didn't hit for me. Nor did... well... anything. I'll have to pass on this. |

| First, the opening is another level, as soon as I heard it it made me remember the opening number 3 of Full Metal Alquemist, amazing. It seemed to me like a story with an animation that, being a mixture of different animes, makes it original. It leaves you with a lot of intrigue between who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, plus the rape scene at the end is brutal. |

| Opening song is quite the acid trip but the story itself seems interesting so far. A lot of comedic moments until the nun rape scene happened at the end which honestly kinda shocked me with how artsy they made it, sadly takes all seriousness out of it in my opinion. |

| The amount of people complaining about the rape scene and it being not okay to have in the show is actually depressing. There are so many snowflakes in the world these days it is insane.... Yeah it is not a light topic or okay thing to do irl.. NO SHIT but it is a fucking SHOW FFS.... Do not take all the things you hear and see to heart, it is meant to create these disturbing emotions in you, that is what makes shows good - using scenes to make you feel a certain way. And the argument that they made the soldiers laugh and animation weird during it made it even more fucked is straight up retarded. The show is artsy/unusual in the way they use animation and visuals to stand out and again now you might think "oh but they made light of the situation", who the fuck cares? It is FICTIONAL NOT REAL. If you cannot diffirentiate between those two then YOU need help not others. If you dislike the scene having that animation because it differs from the manga, then sure that is a fair point but imo this suits the shows vibe more. And to those that just dislike the scene and are not acting like the show should be cancelled or things like these should not be showed. | This show has serious nudity & gore - rated Seinen so not intended for children duh. That last scene was so tame and barely even showed anything, if you're an adult god forbid you happen upon how fucked the real world is let alone unable to handle pixels on a screen, this may be out of your age bracket if that happens to shatter your fragile world view. Don't google Forced Hentai Genre lmao. Bless the eastern creators for not making dumbed down PC BS, there's plenty of that already in the gutters where it belongs. These shows with gore, nudity & controversial scenes are a real treat for how few there are, makes things far more interesting - really scratches that same itch that Dorohedoro did. |

XD It feels like how people go completely apeshit once there's NTR (or just assumed NTR) in a series. ^^' Btw, I'm a high empathy person, but I'm also a high tolerance person and can discern between reality and fiction. If you enjoy brutal acts in fiction, you're still A OK in my book. You do that stuff to irl people? That's a clear no. Came here because I recently binged the manga and wanted to see how the anime did. Was not disappointed so far. Hilarious all the way and the OP rocks. Ready for episode 2! ^^ |

| Wow. That's the scene you end the first episode with? Not gonna lie. That's a pretty bold move. Rest was pretty cool to watch. I like the art style. Could need a bit more suspense IMO but the voice actors give me enough reason to keep watching anyway. It's been a while for me to have Romi Park AND Yui Horie as main character voices. Megumi Ogata had amazing performances in Danganronpa as well (at least in the game. not sure how good it was in the show). So I'm looking forward to this! |
| I love the color palette in this series. Gonna look forward to seeing if they change up the style each episode. And man, I expected this series to be action packed silly comedy. That ending is completely unexpected for me. |
