| I always do it. I've always been into keeping track of what I watched, so it's just something I do out of habit now. And if I don't know the exact date, I'll just use the month and year. |

| Yep, for about the last 7 years I have. Before then I didn't really bother, so according to MALgraph there's 884 anime in my list without start/end dates. That was before I started using MALupdater (and later Taiga), which updates that field automatically. It can be an interesting stat to keep track of, particularly if you use MALgraph. What I wonder is if anyone actually uses "storage". |

I don't think mal adds the start date automatically, just the end date, and just if you are inside your animelist.
