Whatever's the most popular and most mainstream anime series out there, and what has made the most money (Pokemon, DBZ, Gundam, etc.)

Please show your love for my Kiss x Sis manga review here. It will only take you 2 minutes of your time 🙏🙏

That would be Grave of the Fireflies. This is movie not series but it has huge impact on everyone even the one who doesn't really like anime.
But personally, me is Yu-Gi-Oh! Because til this day I still play the game and that show has taught me a lot about friendship, fair play and believe in the heart of the cards/ never surrender.
For recent season, I think it's gonna be Higehiro but I have no idea what really is in, people said that series taught you about little girl who has dark past or so, whatever because I haven't read/ watch the series, tho.

In terms of influential on a personal scale (meaning the shows that I usually hear when people say "anime changed my life"), I think Aria the Origination, Clannad Afterstory, Welcome to the NHK, TTGL, NGE, Naruto, Gintama, etc

In terms of overall presence and impact inside and outside the anime community, probably Pokemon, the Big3, DBZ, Gundam, GITS, Haruhi Suzumiya, Sailor Moon, Death Note, etc.

K-On taught me to search for things I would have fun doing while having fun in the process. It also taught me to always enjoy the present day because it won't happen for the second time. I have and still am holding to that.

Are we talking our opinion of what the most influential anime is in general, or just for us personally? If the former, then yeah like previously mentioned it's Astro Boy, like it literally can't be anything else.

For me personally though I'd have to say Space Brothers. It didn't have the biggest effect on me when it came to anime, however it did have a very huge impact on me outside of my hobbies. When it comes to anime that influenced my time with anime, I've come to realize it might actually be Ao no Exorcist, even though I really don't like the series. It was the first ever seasonal I watched, and seasonals were a VERY big part of my early adult life and what got me to keep watching anime.

For me personally it is A place further than the universe,
because it had an influence on my personal life and my views. It caused me to rethink some choices I've made in my life, and most importantly to just start doing what truly makes me feel better and what fills me with joy.

In other words, trying to live finding my own happiness without always trying to compromise and think of others, and do whatever it is that I want in life despite my many shortcomings and set backs.

It is also one of the reasons I gave it a 10/10 because it made me reflect on my own life.

Gotta hand it to Astro Boy, Dragon Ball and Pokémon I think.

Astro Boy is more of a Japanese thing I guess, but the influence it had on every single anime that followed it is massive. It completely transformed the medium.

Dragon Ball for its global reach. Whenever I talk to someone who doesn't watch anime about anime their first reaction is always "So it's like Dragon Ball?" It's THE battle Shonen that everyone knows.

And Pokémon for being the most successful media franchise in history. Of course this comes from games and merch mostly, but I remember growing up with the original anime so I know the massive impact it had and how much it helped globalize the franchise.

Well the anime adaptation of Nintendo's greatest series Pokémon introduced most people outside of Japan to anime, so...
Pretty sure there was even a time where the anime was more well-known than the games in most parts of the world

Not sure it counts, since I'm exclusively talking about the manga, but JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's influence on Japanese action series and pop culture at large is pretty impressive. Characters/character designs/powers/plot points/basically any manifestation of one's "spirit"/etc in so many series are directly inspired from JoJo

Since everyone has answered the mass question (Pokemon, Death Note, Astro Boy, etc.) i'll just answer a personal one

Clannad After Story, NGE and YLIA would be the big three for me

Has a 8.60 mean score

Oregairu-This material really hitted me hard and my way of thinking.

It was Naruto and Oregairu for me.
Naruto is positivity at it's peak
Oregairu goes deep into relationships and how they can change people.
