| If only this season could maintain this consistency, then it would've been a banger. Finally a proper ep that actually shows highlights from both sides rather than just solely focusing on the accent boyz. And on top of that some dope monologues and nice action Still really wishing Hinata gets more time to shine though, especially after being virtually sidelined the whole of last season |

| I loved Tanaka in this episode. His straight shot was badass! I'm happy that he's getting more focus in this match. Probably one more episode for this match. I really hope we get to see Hinata do another big receive before this match ends. |

| Real goosebumps. Was already missing this sensation. Fantastic episode once again. Pretty much all the boys had their own moment to shine but damn, my boy Ryu is absolutely killing it in this match. That line shot was so clean and seeing Saeko-neesan close to tears was really moving. |

| Awesome episode! I wasn't sure what Tanaka meant by "I'm going to swallow my pride but i need you to do this" last episode, but this episode made it very clear. I'm very surprised that Kageyama gave him the big "No." Love the trust between the two of them this episode. So many good plays too!! The most touching one for me was Tanaka's line shot. Asahi's no-touch service ace, Noya save, Kita save were all amazing too! Man, i love this show. |
| 10/10 Every moment was worth a ton. Oikawa, Kageyama, Hinata, Tsuki, Tanaka, other team captain, Atsumu, Azumane. all of them had their shinning moments and it was absolutely incredible. |
| I'm honestly so pleased with this episode. Despite a lot of the early moments being drawn weirdly, the animation was pretty on point. There was also a distinct moment about a third of the way through where we saw a close-up of Daichi's face and I remember thinking "wow that looks so much better" and from then on the art was really good. I really liked the build-up to Kageyama sending the ball to Tanaka. It was probably the most suspense I've felt so far in this season, which is pretty great. Even if the art isn't as striking as Furudate's illustrations, that moment felt like an improvement over the manga to me. |

| Damn. Yet another outsourced episode? The art was almost awful, everyone literally looked different every other time you see them. The stills were great tho, especially some of Kageyama’s close-up stills. The animation was decent I guess tho at around the 14:15 mark Asahi literally looked like a flailing chicken...... Pity, this match is getting so amazing & the previous episode was really strong. I love how everyone in Karasuno is pulling their weight. They are all so amazing I want to cry!!!!! | Hinata's strength as a player is exactly as Kita said about prodigal players; where most players follow a certain set of rules and methods, he thinks outside the box, bringing unpredictability and ingenuity to Karasuno's plays. I really love seeing the teams that Karasuno beat on their journey rooting for them. It shows what awesome dudes they are when their fallen opponents can't even dislike them haha Been missing Oikawa a lot so it was nice to see him again, even if it was just for a few seconds. |

| Both teams are reaching the limit as is the match. A small clash between the captains, but both think differently. And Kageyma feeling frustrated because he is already tired but Hinata is still demanding more of him. |

| *sigh* This was a good episode, animation's back to being so-so with only Tanaka's awesome spike having some kind of cool movement. On the other there were a certain amount of insane stills that I really appreciate, it shows that those design, when handled well, can shine just as much as the old ones. The OST this ep was super awesome, again the one during Tanaka's spike was soooo good, the whole ep had really good sound direction. And of course I can't express hom much I love everyone on this court, Atsumu and Osamu are already among my favorite characters from the show, Kageyama and Hinata just keep shining brigther and brighter, that Asahi scream after his service ace reminded me why S1 EP9 is still my favorite episode and I'm so sad we won't be seing much Kita after this game. Since next episode is most likely the last one for this match I expect nothing less than the best animation the staff can offer, will it reach the highs of the second Seijoh match's climax ? I don't want to be too optimistic, but I hope it's at the very least as good as ep 3 and 9. If next episode blows me away, this season's getting that 7, otherwise, won't be higher than 6. |

| All right, I finally got it! I thought I recognized Aran's (Allen's) dribble before he serves. That's gotta be the Hanna Barbara Harlem Globetrotters I remember from my childhood in the '80s. As a(n) (old-ass) black American who loves Japanese language and culture, I love that nothing is made of Aran's ethnicity. He's just a teammate. But then you have the dribble, which is both Cringe and beautiful Nostalgia. Cringestalgia. |

Bad animation and inconsistent art aside, I'm also disappointed with how little presence Hinata has had this season. A large part of the previous season was about his development in regard to volleyball and it feels like he's barely been on screen this season. We had a few fun moments this episode though, and the characters are still good enough to keep me watching. I agree with regards to Hinata needing more time. He's the protagonist but he may as well have been off the court during the match. Ever since that old bitter asshole turned him into the ball boy I've been waiting for him to make a grand comeback, but I'm just not seeing it happen. Is the author just against drawing him in the hideous orange outfit? |

| This is the Haikyuu I love, but I'm kind of disappointed they made Oikawa appear in the preview and get me hyped just to show that, I was really expecting something crazy, like him coming to watch the game and yelling at Kageyama from up there. But I guess it's still better than nothing. As for the match itself, amazing episode, now that it's near the end. Hinata is just insane. And that spike by Tanaka!! |
