| Revy portrays my general lack of empathy one of my most dinstictive personality trait in real life and when I'm posting. | Just beauty and simplicity in its purest form straddling the line of innocence and maturity which all humans walk, embodied in one of my favorite characters from anything ever in one of my absolute favorite anime of all time (and a tribute of sorts since it was my inaugural anime and I very likely wouldn't have discovered so much else without it - other series and latent thoughts and feelings). I guess she represents to me the best possible side of humanity, which is the sheer and utter will to envision and actualize a different future for yourself than one begrudgingly swallowed from a restrictive list of multiple choice options deemed acceptable by family or peers and contemporaries, overcome the preconceived notions, expectations, superstitions, ignorance, and imposition of others to mold you into living how they want and break free beyond the stars with a boundary limited only to the imagination, sometimes from the comfort of your own bedroom or living room. And a dual kind of tranquility and grace I see when taking in the image combined with the daring and adrenaline both embodied in that willpower to live beautifully, raw, free, unapologetic and unashamed of your own wants and willingness to defy the psychological prison of societal constraints. As for any association or connection with myself behind the screen, there is none. I identify more with people as far as who I would align with or choose to represent me, select as avatars, etc. as far as their symbolic value and their ideas and/or actions, rather than what they look like. |
