I guess I can consider myself a bit fluent since that I usually speak english in my daily life with my sister. My sister only speak our native language but she can still understand what I'm saying. I also talk to my british friend and seems like he understand pretty much everything I said.

Pretty fluent I'd say. I can easily blend in with a native English speaker and I do not carry over accent issues from my first language.

English isn't my native language, thanks to the internet I write fluent English and understand 99,5% of written text, but can't quite determine how well I speak it since I very rarely have a real chance to do so.

I had a bilingual upbringing so I'm okay.
Also it's easy to pick out the insecure folks by looking at how often they opt to use unnecessarily long words to gain some kind of linguistic high ground.

Considering it's my first language....well technically second due to being son of migrants but i would just reply to them in English.

Now if I try to say something in my parents language I draw a blank on some words even know I know it if someone were to say it.

I mix up words a good bit. Maybe I talk too fast or something. My bad joke was bad.

I'm a native English speaker, but I feel like every day I just get worse at speaking and typing in English.;;
My writing used to be relatively clear, now it's all over the place. I feel like people can't even understand what I'm saying anymore. OTL
My speaking is not all that great either. My mouth sometimes doesn't catch up with my brain fast enough. So sometimes I might say some nonsense like, "I can't always remember when-- well people's dfjkhgkjdfhghfdjhgj." I don't even know what I'm saying anymore sometimes.
I must have lost a lot of brain cells somewhere along the line. ;A;

I am a better speaker than I am grammatically. But I haven't had a decent English conversation in years tbh. I used to live in the States when I was 3 til 8. So my first real language was basically English.

I'm very open to people correcting my grammar, I speak broken english now because no one uses english around here. my serious nature isn't helping out either.

I'd talk to females because they tend to be open and playful but I don't want them to think that I'm into them so yeah, decisions decisions.

I used to not speak english at all when i was younger until i had to when i went to a private middle school.People were extremely surprised that i was able to get to the level of a native speaker in less than a year,and now it is the language that i am most comfortable speaking in.

Waaay more fluent than most of my compatriots, that's for sure. Baring English teachers themselves (and peoples who followed a training course to be one o/c), I rarely ever encounter a French native with higher English proficiency than me.
Doesn't mean my proficiency is amazingly high or anything though, rather it mostly means that my compatriots are overall pretty bad, but hey, that's something. I also barely have any trace of French accent remaining when I speak English nowadays.

I'm not fluent in English let alone my first language due to my parents moving to different countries a lot which completely screwed me over. My sister on the other hand can speak three different language fluently, because she adapted lot better than me ;-;

I find it much easier for me to expatiate with the help of my voice than it is in a written manner.

I've been studying the language for 8 years. I still have difficulties in writing and pronunciation, especially. But this last year I have improved a lot than in previous years.

Perhaps because this year I am quite determined to meet certain goals ...

10/10....I'm more fluent in English than my ethnic language. People of similar ethnicity expect me to understand them whenever they speak or write something. Hate to disappoint them, but having lived my entire life here and not being taught my ethnic language - I get frustrated not being able to truly relate. I can't read and write the ethnic language, but I can speak my family's dialect at an elementary level.

Its ironic...people here think I'm a foreigner, despite my entire life was spent in the US; yet those who see similar facial features reflected on them, believe that I should completely understand their native language. I am in this quagmire, where I'm not quite categorized here or there and people often misunderstand.
