Oh, so it’s a Movie after all? I was sure it’d be a special episode or something of the sort, but it’s good to see the choice of a Movie instead.

Again, though, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the tv series but it was entertaining and I hope the Movie will be too! As such, ‘Maybe?’.

I'm honestly very happy to learn what they had planned after announcing "Goblin Slayer will return". However, what gives me a disappointed face is the fact a movie will be released in theater and won't be adapted in a DVD/Blu-ray version before 4 months or so.

That means we won't get to actually watch it before a certain time :(

if the poster is anything to go off it will be a sequel covering the events in Light novel Volume 5 (currently reading through & is mostly set in winter)

Let us hope that this movie will serve as a stepping stone for a future season of Goblin Slayer. Considering that he defeated the Goblin Lord (and according to the Manga, he should face the Goblin Paladin next), a strong 1 movie-only villain could work out quite well. I consider this, just in the same way as the old DBZ films. Although, they had no connection whatsoever with the main timeline, they served as a challenge for the protagonists, to get stronger and be even more ready for the next major enemy.

I wonder how much of the people who instead of ignoring or dropping the series choosed to rant every week about how bad Goblin Slayer and why the people who liked were rapist on potence will watch it, since it's just a movie instead of a weekly show they won't get enough internet points for bashing it so i hope there is less of "People only like Goblin Slayer because it have rape" and more factual complaints about it.

Okay, I expected that the series would get good after the rape scene and that the series would actually have some emotional elements and stuff. But all it was was a compilation of Goblin Slayer slaying goblins like okay? And there was no fucking reason to raise the stakes in the beginning because no important characters died. Smh my head.

I think you're missing the point, slaying goblins is the antithesis of the series. It's not supposed to be taken so seriously. Personally a little skeptical for this movie to come out, hope they don't turn this into a unnecessarily drawn out series. Should have just left it at the one season

It's vol 5. That volume takes place in a snowy mountain like the one in the poster and one of its chapter is called Goblin's Crown.
