Interview Conducted by: @_Ako_ Well, to start things like how it should be, could you tell us about yourself? Hi, thanks for having me! Well I guess I will start out with a brief introduction about myself. I am SeidouTZ but you can just call me simply Seidou, I am 21-years-old European guy; at the moment unemployed, aiming to start college in the field of psychology later next year, depending on how well I do in the exam. In the meantime, I have been in a linguistic course to improve my English and who knows, eventually I might also try to learn a bit of Japanese like a giant weeaboo I am lol. Now talking more about myself, I guess the best way to characterize me is that: I am a both socially awkward and very stressed out individual. I have the tendency to overthink too much no matter the situation (which could be said that is my biggest personal flaw) because of it I have a hard time establishing conversations in real life; always taking a good amount of time for me to familiarize with the person in question. The reason for me to act this way has probably to do with some bad experiences that I had during my childhood that made me skeptical, for the lack of a better term, regarding other people's true intentions. To summarize what happened: at the time my parents had to work extra hours, so I was left with a babysitter that physically and mentally abused me without much of real justification. Since I was a child, I had the idea in mind that telling anyone about it would only make the situation worse so I stayed silenced most of the time and would often lie when questioned about the bruises. Luckily, however my big sister eventually found out about it and resolved it. Nevertheless, I am trying to better myself in that regard (planning to even go to a anime event this year as a matter of fact) and not shelter so much myself in a shell. So guess that about wraps it up. Why do you have to take an exam to get to College? Does that how it works in Europe, and how difficult it is to get accepted? Each country as their own set of legislation and norms, so i don't think the way people enter college is exactly the same across Europe but i can be wrong so i will only speak on behalf of my country in particular. Here to enter collage you need: 1)Your average in upper secondary education must be higher than the one stipulated by the college you are applying to (that way it can guarantee the access, while if you have the same minimal average required it is very unlikely that you get accepted) 2) You need a ingress exam of a subject related to the field you are applying to. In some exceptional cases they allow you to pay to take their admission exam and then determine whatever or not you can be admitted but again that is in some exceptional cases. Is it difficult to get accepted? Well that depends on the field you plan on choosing and what college you have intentions in attending while also taking into consideration how expensive everything would be. Interviewer’s note: As far as I know, here in Canada you only need your HS transcript to attend university. Does your username have something to do, as to why you love trap character so much? Yes and no. Initially my username was "Seidou_Takizawa" which is I guess is what you could consider a standard weeb name related to the Tokyo Ghoul series that I was very into it at the time when I created this account (well until the series become nothing more then a combusting barrel of fire that is... tho i still like to follow it). However, I always wanted to change it for something shorter while at the same time not detaching myself completely from the old username. So i went for SeidouTZ. The "T" and the "Z" being acronyms for The Zombie, which is on itself a reference to my waifu character of interest Giselle Gewelle. What anime title it is that made you like/love anime, and how did it started? Were you bored at that time and had nothing to do? Hmmmn hard to single out a single series, but it was probably Bleach. At the time I had finally caught up with One Piece and was rambling through other series of the same genre, I happened to discovered bleach as being the only one of the so called "big 3" that I had not watched so I gave it a look. The music was catchy, the whole concept of spirits and magic swords was something right up my alley, the characters were diverse each one with their own quirks, a story easy to follow despite some inconsistencies and some good mystery. Even with the series has it progressed it become nothing more than a vessel of what it once was, I still remember it as the series that made me truly love anime as form of entertainment and EVA then later come solidified that belive. Was I bored? Not necessarily, I was still was enjoying both Naruto and One Piece, however they both failed to impress me. Why haven't you seen Ayakashi:Japanese Classical Horror which is a prequel to Mononoke , one of your favs? @Kidstiff Oh is it really a prequel to Mononoke? I could have sworn that when I first look it up, the only thing linking both series was a single character (Kusuriuri to be exact) so I though it wouldn't matter which series I would start with. Must had overlook the sequel tag then, my bad. As for why I have yet to watch Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror, is because that series is considered by many as an inferior version of Mononoke. I plan to still see it eventually sure, just not now right away. You mentioned being mistreated by the babysitter you used to have, could you briefly mention to us how did you cope with it; kinda like how you used to escape from the on-going abuse? Well to to put it bluntly, the way I coped with everything was by simply lie to myself and try to pretend nothing happened. At home I would usually avoid having almost any interaction with others and refuge myself in my own room alone playing video games as a form of escapism since while engrossed in gaming all problems seemed to be nonexistent. Not the best course of action sure, but that was my way of dealing with the issue at that moment otherwise anxiety would probably had gotten the better of me. Users you like/dislike and why Finally the question that most users come here to know ahah. There are a handful of users that I like so I apologize if someone was left out: Since when and how did your love for traps and R18+ came to fruitution? Ahaha! That is quite a funny story actually. To tell you the truth belive it or not, I had a phase where I was very much into the idea of gender bender. For example, Kämpfer, Akane-chan Overdrive, Girl Meets Girl, to name a few. It was such a weird yet interesting concept that I hardly seen explored in any other mediums, so I really liked it but while there are a wide variety of manga series within that sub-genre on the other hand, there isn't much anime adaptations for whatever reason. So while looking for recommendations I encountered "Mayo Chiki!".. at first the term trap was quite new to me and didn’t exactly sit well, but that series surprised me in a good way even if the plot seemed to just went around in circles. With that I start to look into the trope a bit more, having then found my first love Hato Kenjirou from Genshiken: Nidaime and was just upwards from there. The same can be applied to R18+ because regular porn had me bored to death, and I wanted someting diferent. I researched for other options which lead me to hentai-- Doujinshis/hentai displays things in a exaggerated manner and countless possibilities that would be impossible to represent in real life without coming out as grotesque, for that reason I find it appealing. How did you ended up in MAL, what board/club are you mostly active on? I mostly used MAL to check up information regarding a particular series I was interested in watching, but was only at the beginning of 2016 that I found the need to make a account with the main intention in mind to discuss and express my ideas regarding anime/manga, due to the fact that in my small group of friends; I am the only one with such interests. Not to mention it became more useful for me to keep track of the seasonal easily with the notifications. Anime Discussions is the board I more frequently go to on a somewhat regular basis if there is a interesting topic of discussion, which at times may seem like impossible to find given how oversaturated that board is with repetitive threads, and some users just using it to either try seek validation on others by creating "rant" posts or beat a already dead horse. But all in all despite its flaws, AD still one of the more fun boards to use. *coff* FG is shit don't try to convince me otherwise *coff* Other than that, I also use Series Discussion occasionally to express my thought on some ongoing series depending on how impactful that particular episode/chapter was or to give either simply my first impressions or final thoughts on such. In terms of clubs I mostly just hang around on Yggdrasil's House of Anime & Manga given the fact that the people in there are quite friendly and I like the roulettes; MAL Interviews to get to know more about some users more; and MAL Score Progressions to keep track of the discrepancies in scores. There is also the Make MAL Great Again club AKA spicy memes international... buuuut that one is more dead that its owner, right @Z-Dante? What are/is the thing(s) that made you think FG as boring? Honestly, it looks quite chill for the most part than AD Nothing against those who are active on the FG board, I simply find it to be pointless and dull. Tons of new game threads are constantly being created overshadowing others, time consuming to the max and are oversaturated with games that are just plain stupid... can someone tell me what is the fun of "Counting until a(n) Mod/Admin appears"? Again I see no purpose on it. If you are bored you can always watch/read anime/manga, if you want to express your opinion on a topic to other users you have a boards for that, if you want to show your creativity you have a board also expecific for that, if you want to say that a particular user as shit taste you can say it in his/her profile. Ehh maybe I am looking at it the wrong way, but that board does not exactly scream "fun" like is described to be. Talk to us more about what repetitive threads you like the most, or users that make the threads worth while in your opinion? Sorry for deviating a bit from the main question-- I need to address few things: contrary to what make it seem, I have no problem with repetitive threads, in fact I think they are required for AD don't turn itself into a desert wasteland since they allow new users to get into the discussions and there is always the possibility that a older user had changed his/her opinion on a particular subject. I believe the main problem lies with the gap in between the creation of this threads. For example topics related with fanservice, ecchi and harem are almost being created in a week by week basis which makes AD feel quite monotone most of the time. Now with that out of the way, responding your first question, I honestly don't have a particular preference when it comes to threads. It warms my heart seeing traps being brought in some threads, though as long as the OP provides a good enough topic of discussion or creates a funny enough post (aka good shitpost) that is all that matters to me. As for users that I consider that make the board worth you have: @JokerJoestar (seriously could you make it any more apparent that you are into Jojo my dude lol), that creates some both good and funny threads. And @zombie_pegasus for always coming up with some interesting threads. Trap characters that you think are superior than loli waifus? Wait since when loli waifus were any good to begin with, let alone superior? Well to name a few: All of those are superior to your average loli blob in every way ;p Now jokes aside I consider all of them to be good characters in their respetive way, whatever because of their characterization or the way the author/director dealt with them(for comedic purposes or not). They are not simply depicted as just dudes with feminine features, there is more to them that meets the eye. Interviewer’s note: Yes, loli/imouto are superior than traps Is there a hentai that feature traps that is not just there to pleasure you but had moved because of its overall execution that someone like Higashiyama Show had done? The hell is a Higashiyama Show? Sounds like a name of late-night Japanese quiz show featuring family members having sex with each other. In all seriousness, I dare say that so far I only encountered one doujinshi that managed to get me in tears. Why only one you ask? Well not for lack of research I tell you that much, but I guess you could classify traps/cross-dressing as a niche with a niche type of genre that not many people in the west appreciate so hardly anything gets properly translated and those who do get are either very focus on humor or sexual domination. Still the name of the title is “Josouko-chan Tsunawatari kara Rakkasu” written by Asahien Rama, quite a small manga but worth the read having only about 2 pages, if I am not mistaken, of sexual content that are not even that explicit so I would highly recomend giving it a look. Interviewer’s rant: Don’t know my God? Such pleb. Go read his work and abandon your traps What kind of video games do you often play? What made you like these kinds of games?" A better question would be, “what kind of video games do I used to play” since at the moment my interest in gaming is about the same as Hayao Miyazaki interest in modern anime. It isn't to say that there aren't games that catch my eye now days, but then I start thinking "why should I try to save up and then spend so much money in buying a new gaming console/PC in order to play a single game?" I know that now with steam everything is more easy, but still don’t see much of a reason to put my money on it. Interviewer’s rant: B—baka! How dare you correct me! *hummp* When I was younger, I would play any PS1 and PS2 games that I could purchase regardless of genre (tho I had a preference for action oriented ones like Grand Theft Auto; Dragon Ball budokai tenkaichi and Tekken) and play them as form of stress reliever. Spending a lot of time playing Worms and the Digimon World while question “what the hell I was going with my life ?” Every time the Digimon had to go to the bathroom. Had a period as well where I played League Of Legend.. quiet a rage inducing game with a toxic community to complement it... Despite that it was still a fun game for the most part, but like any other MMORPGs it grown stale after awhile. Nowadays I mostly only play Pokemon rom hacks if I find the game compelling enough, and the Danganronpa series. As to what made me like this type of games more so than other. Well it probably has to do with the gameplay and concept, not much else to it to tell you the truth. 3 users that you'd like to nominate and why? @Frostbytes the dude needs to get the recognition that deserves @_Ako_ because I wanna know his backstory on how be became a perv and if his/her family already disown him/her @Pullman don't know why it still hasn't been done yet by this point but I would like to see him getting interviewed Interviewer's info: I'm not a perv! I'm genuinely a normal person! *Hummp* What other things you'd like to mention before we end this interview? Pineapple is great on pizza; CD is indispensable for MAL because it works as a asylum so the crazy people wouldn't get lose; Traps aren't gay nor homosexual; horror anime can be scary who ever tells you otherwise is delusional; Masturbation works as a way of stimulating the brain; anime is a deconstruction of real life; people that use buzz words such as "deconstruction" and "pretentious" are elitist wannabes; and shit taste does exist otherwise how could people explain spending most of their lives watching badly drawn japanese cartoons?
