| My first anime was Dragon Ball Z. Back then I thought it was an american cartoon. But then a friend of mine told me that it was japanese, and that there were other series like it. She recommended me Trigun and after that I became a fan of anime. |

| Honestly, I'm not sure... There were six animes I remember watching when I was smaller. There was DBZ Sailor moon Pokemon Digimon Escaflowne and Gundam Wing Whichever one was made in America first i probably ended up watching first. |

| I don't really remember which was first but I remember watching Pokemon, Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball, and Gundam Wing. First that I know for sure i completed was Neon Gensis Evangelion, but It's also possible I saw most of, if not all, of the original Pokemon series and Dragonball Z. |

| Before I new what anime was; Speed Racer, Sailormoon (it was playing on WB at the time), and Oyayubi Hime (Thumbelina) Once I did; Sailormoon, Pokemon, and Digimon. There was DBZ but I wasn't interested in it at the time. Oh and Gundam Wing! Record of Lodoss War OVA was my first subtitled anime. |

| I remember back when I was really young that this one channel would play these funny looking cartoons around 5 in the morning. So, my first exposure to anime was Sailor Moon, back when I was 7. Yes, the DIC versions, and I still haven't seen the uncut/uncensored versions as of yet. |
| Well I didn't actually realize it was anime but CAPTAIN TSUBABA Fun story: Moved to Iran with family back in 1995 (age 7), they only had 3 TV channels, one of which showed cartoons on friday mornings (iran weekend).and weekday afternoons. One of my favorites was about a soccer team with a super good player called Tsubasa. They played lots of awesome over the top soccer (a bit over the top but i loved it as a kid), and was super popular in Iran. Years later when I rediscovered anime (outside of pokemon) at the age of 19 I realized that Tsubasa was a classic anime as well (still ongoing I think). Haven't watched it again but it will always remain special for how it first brought me to this amazing entertainment form. They are still showing reruns of it today. |

| Funny story actually, I first started to watch anime when I went to my friends house in about hmmm I say in grade 6, when I went to see what he was doing. I ended up finding him watching Naruto episode 95-96 special, I think it was the 3 great legendary sannin battle for those who watch naruto, it was pretty epic. I told him " aren't you kinda old to be watching cartoons" and he was like "This isn't any typical cartoon, actually it isn't even a cartoon. It's an anime. It's got blood, swearing and all kinds of cool things" so then I said alright cool what ever I'm going to play some FFX and play some cooking mama after, is that cool? of course he didn't really care at the time while he was so into that episode. Later on he left the room, so I took the liberty to actually watch some of it and ..... basically I got hooked with my friend calling me a hiprocrite in the end. XD yeah... lol funny story, whats yours? If you got one. |

| Hmmm mine is nothing special. I'd been off sick from school for the day and was bundled up in bed watching cartoon network. Just happened to be a day a Dragonball Z marathon was airing so I saw the second half of the Cell Games Saga and thought watching SSJ2 Gohan caning Cell was epic so I looked into the rest of the series and found myself hooked. I slowly blended into the anime world through mainstream anime like Naruto and Haruhi. Eventually finding my favourites in the shape of Kanon, Higurashi and most recently Code Geass. I'm sure my "story" isnt finished yet, more like a work in progress =) |
