| The score keeps changing, its currently on the rise. was on 8.78 during episode 13 and 8.80 after episode 14 (probably will change later). Edit: the score quickly change from 8.80 to 8.78 very odd but does not change post or my prediction. Currently the score keeps increasing pretty much every other episode. As a manga reader I am going to place my bets that after this season is finished it will be 9.00 +/- 0.05 points. what do you predict? |

| You guys are probably not incorporating the huge score jump after every anime finishes airing on MAL because of the 1/5 rule. Meaning that all of the votes from episode 1 to 5 will not be counted in the mean score |

| After the next arc ends, I'm expecting the score to rise up to somewhere around 8.85-8.86, then the 1/5 rule will bring it to a 8.89 or something like that. The 1/5 rule isn't really effective for sequels, but since BnHA S2 is a 2 cour series, there'll be a bigger boost to it than something like SnK S2. And a month after it ends, the score will slowly drop to something like an 8.84-8.85. So yeah, I doubt it's gonna pass the 9 mark, and even if it does, it's not staying there for long. |

8.62. It's a bit overrated. It's not the holy grail of neo-shounen manga as people turn it out to be. |
| The high rating is based on the number of people that rate each episode as 5/5. The rating it has now is largely because on episode 10 and because it hasn't done anything to offend anyone watching so it maintains a relatively good score. I suspect we will see another jump due to upcoming episodes but it may go down after that. The lowest this anime has been is 8.53 and that was still higher than season 1's rating. |

I use to think that way too but according to MAL 'How do we rank shows?', the number of votes does influence the rating/score. | If they separated the 2-cour season into 2 separate 1-cour with one being the tournament and the other being the Stain arc, I would have said the Stain Arc has potential to reach 9, but since that's not the case, I believe this is as high as entry will ever reach. Once the show is done, people that don't rate the show until it's completed (like me), will start scoring which is likely to lower the rating (anyone rating 1-8) |

Unfortunately longer does not equal better, if you took the tournament arc out of the show and started with the them working at the agencies I'd be willing to understand why the show has such a high score. Unfortunately I believe the 12 episode tournament arc was extremely unnecessary and at points-down right boring, the only reason people are fan gasming over it are the few moments of high-quality animation. Everything else that was done in it (backstories and such) as well as introducing new people, could have been done in a much more meaningful way outside of a tournament, but alas they went the much weaker way of story telling and threw it into a tournament that should not even have happened as soon as it did. |
