So 23 is finally out and only one more episode left of this anime. Satou is no longer supported by his parents and Yamazaki so in turn he shed his NEET/Hikikomori life and gets a job, and now Misaki turns out to have had a rough childhood and is suffering from some emotional damage from her step dad.
So it seems just when Satou is getting his life in order, some thing comes along and side tracks him. Cant wait for the final episode.

Just watched this episode now.

Too bad the anime ratings only go up to 10, because otherwise I think that this episode takes the show to an 11.

So what have we learned today? In order to cure a Hikikomori all you have to do is stop giving him money!

But yes, a great episode. Moving on to 24. T_T

It's great sato is moving on but he knows deep down he is longing for a friend and a lover. Misaki is the obvious person but he turned her down harshly.

Wow, how are you going to turn down Misaki like that? Though her offer was quite strange and awkward. Nice to see Sato getting a job and not being a lazy bum anymore.

Sato is such a dumbass, Misaki was the best thing to happen to his life and he just rejects her every time she tries to get close to him.

Damn Satou - rejection without any real explanation towards Misaki-chan.
Seems like all he ever does - is running away. Poor her.

And Misaki-chan collapsed in the bathroom?
Must be some bizarre slump to get wristcuts from.
For doing it once there it seems rather strange to travel all the way to her hometown for her second attempt.

It was explained why Satou refused to sign Misaki's contract when images of the other characters spoke to him in his room after he ran away: he couldn't accept being the support for someone who only wanted him because she viewed him as being more worthless than her. Wound licking, where one party looks down on the other, is never going to end well - that sort of relationship is doomed from the start.

If you want the short answer as to why Satou said no, it's as simple as this: his last bit of pride prevented him from allowing a high school girl to use him as a crutch because of how pathetic his life was. The choice he made was a difficult but correct one.

About the scene in Satou's room: I viewed it to be quite profound when it was stated that people act so aggressive and insulting on the internet because of their need to find someone lower than themselves in order to survive. I always thought of it as people letting their natural ugliness shine through due to the lack of risk, but it does ring true that people would act that way in order to make themselves feel better. (Example: how people jump on "lulzcows" and the like.)

If I remember correctly - it wasn't the explanation of his motivation I needed - but I thought it was quite poor of him to simply run away without expressing his thoughts/reasons to HER.

This behavior might be into character for him - but I couldn't stand it.

About her using him to boost her own selfesteem - yeah it is quite low but at that point it should have been clear to him that she has a lot of problems too and needs his help as much as he needs hers.

This.
I would have signed that contract. It was actually sad, but also kind of cute at the same time :)
I also really liked the scene when they were playing the quiz (even though that was actually not a really fun topic), they seemed cute together :)

I have a few ideas for how this may end, but for one I really hope that she won't die. That would be too cruel.

i can't believe how stupid satou is. Mizaki talks about suicide and final words then brings up her flashback of her mother even goes to say that she is going to a far away place and what was satou's reply? "i see..." stuuuuuuuuuuuuupid

EDIT: After watching the entire episode i can say without doubt that sato is the worst character ever created for me. HE is only going after her now because he heard her story. It's out of pity. His pride is what's making misaki suicidal. fuck sato
