Hmm looks not so bright for the Haikyuu! 10k average.
Was barely able to make it in wk 1 even with an event ticket. It only has 5 volumes so maybe the ticket drop will be small enough to barely make it above the 10k, sadly I doubt it tho. But I'll believe.

Also wow. For an OVA like Danmachi, this is really good and surprising.

Fab to see Kubikiri Cycle still selling well, hope the success continues and leads to a full series adaption, OVA form or otherwise.

Blu Ray + DVD
**,929 **,929 Occultic;Nine Vol.1 Limited Edition

Wasn't sure what to expect with this series sales wise but very low sales for first volume is disappointing.

With a long enough v1 tail and a small enough ticket drop, hopefully its possible. I don't know how likely this is, but YoI may have hurt Haikyuus sales this season since they have a similar audience.

It's not that tragic. You just gotta take a glance at the production committee and you will see that its saving grace will most likely be the merchandize and music sales as the companies that are interested in those are ranked at the top. It's definitely not a big profit maybe not even a profit at all but it's not as devastating as these numbers indicate.

Yeah I get what you mean. If anything Re:Zero and Haifuri showed us that perfectly consistent sales across many volumes are possible so there might be chance that this is the case here too.

While I don't want to give YOI any blame here you're most likely right. There is only so much consumers can spend on BDs/DVDs and there surely are cases where people converted from Haikyuu to YOI, at least for the immediate buy on release.

How good are the sales for an OVA realease, is it roughly comparable to a Bluray volume of a TV-series?

Atleast it will average 1K or so.
The real money is elsewhere, it topped japanese twitter recently so people are watching it, dsisk sales aren't as important anymore.

As far as I know, they are basically the same as (particularly late night) tv anime. The thing to usually look for are the run-time or the number of episodes in each volume for first releases. If the number of episodes are the same, then usually they are comparable for first releases. Generally the BDs are sold between US$55-65 and the DVDs are sold between US$45-55 if I am not wrong for both TV anime and OVA with 50mins worth of actual content (excluding shorts, specials, PVs or creditless OP/ED). The limited editions usually come with special cover case, extended booklets, accessories (like key chain, phone-strap, posters, event tickets etc.) and are thus more expensive. BD/DVD Box-sets or re-release pricing usually have much wider range in prices; could be more or could be less than the first releases, usually much less compared to cumulative of individual volume's first releases.
