| I am not particularly fond of romance either, but sometimes it's good. And there are some good romance anime out there (... I can really only think of Hotarubi no Mori e off the top of my head because I really don't watch much in that genre), so I don't think it should entirely disappear... it would be weird if it did. xD Because if there is no romance, there would be no shounen-ai and shoujo-ai either. Which are two genres I am absolutely fond of. Straight romance isn't my thing, but I don't mind it if it's a subplot and/or the characters in love aren't annoying. So. |

| Romance isn't so bad as long as it doesn't overshadow the plot (unless it IS the plot that is). Sadly, since most of the female leads are bitches tsunderes romance usually end up being total shit. But I feel like the problem is more harems and overdoing the fanservice than just romance. Lots of cool concepts (Highschool of the dead) is watered down or flat out ruined by the romance that is in the anime. |

| Romance does not accomplish it's original purpose so i also think it should be removed, but only for the heterosexual genre, since that was a disaster to begin with. Why am i picking on the heterosexual genre? When was the last time you saw two people of the opposite sex kiss? When was the last time you saw fluff that wasn't rudely interrupted by a third party? When was the last time you saw the MC pick the girl he liked without getting pummeled to death for no apparent reason? When was the last time the MC picked the "right" girl and not the girl that was a walking nightmare? When was the last time the two main characters got together without a vicious plot twist that would rip them apart for 19 episodes? When was the last time two characters confessed to each other without the death flag being raised and one of them or even both suddenly dying? Honestly just remove the romance genre and save people the lost time and effort of watching through a failed anime. |

Besides, just like the ecchi and the harem genres, romance won't disappear because it sells. Seriously though, watching anime is supposed to bring you joy and help you relax; if it infuriates you so, maybe you should either be more selective of the series you watch, or stop watching anime altogether. |

| No, I like romantic comedy anime, on of the best anime series to me was Golden Time, I really enjoyed watching that series. I also finished watching ichigo 100%, it was a little ecchi, and fun to watch. |
