Honestly i want kakeru's voice actor to be Yuki Kaji. and since its a relevantly short manga , i want most of the things to be in the anime adaption .

Wow. I also think Yuki Kaji would be a great choice. His role as Kou in Ao Haru Ride was really convincing and I think Kakeru's reserved and despondent nature would be captured well by him as well as well as his livelier nature with Naho. Yuki Kaji has a great laugh that I think suits Kakeru.

Would it be weird to say that i was thinking of Kou from Ao Haru Ride when i came up with the idea of Yuki Kaji being Kakeru's voice actor?
I mean he sure has a great voice, and has voiced many of my favorites , but Kou's way of talking ''soft-spoken yet it has that empty-feeling to it' matches perfectly for Kakeru as well.
I can also see Kakeru's laughter being the same as Kakeru's from Norn9 -from yuki kaji too-

He's got the range of intonation required and I agree he's got the laugh. I forgot to mention his performance in Shinsekai yori as teen and adult Satoru is one of my favourite performances of his and I think a lot of it could be transferred. Also, his crying is top notch (weird to say but hey)...he does one scene as Shu in Guilty Crown that gets despair and tears in one perfectly.

This is undoubtedly gonna be another super hotly anticipated new anime summer release ^^

Going by it's popularity (mine included) with many shoujo fans out there, it's gonna be a must-watch ^^

I'll reserve any and all judgements until I hear him. I don't mind who they cast as long as they can capture his subtle nuances in character and not depict him as a 1-dimensional male MC. To be quite honest, I don't expect this anime to be anywhere near its manga form. By being an anime, I feel it's already at a disadvantage but we'll see how it goes.

I really liked the source, and it doesn't seem like something that would take to anime format very well (despite me still wanting an anime adaptation). The company making it doesn't have the best reputation in my mind, so I am very skeptical.

With that said if this sort of thing sounds like it would interest you please give the manga a read even if the anime ends up being garbage.

Haven't read the manga, and has no plan to until the anime is completed (else my experience with the anime will be ruined.)

So, the only thing I expect here is Kana-chan. <3

The manga was alright. Not that great but not horrible either. Certainly a somewhat above average read.

It will definitely be well received on MAL, unless it gets the Shigatsu treatment.

I'm halfway through the manga. I did not read anything in this thread to prevent possible spoilers, but I'm really hoping for a cute anime... The manga is so cute, ugh... I'm a male but I'm sucker when it comes to shoujo manga like this... >.<

I don't think it's really like Bokudake because the only common point would be time travel/changing the past but

Anyway, I loved the manga, imo it's like an improved shoujo, because the shojo themes (growing up, having more self confidence, love, friendship...) are motivated by something deeper.

This has recently also been made into a film. Perhaps it slightly deviates, but reading from the synopsis it appears to be the same story.

I have not read the mange, but I have seen the film and I have to say it was really, really good. I can recommend it.

Edit: I just saw the PV and it's the same. I guess the manga was used as script for the film.

I've watched the film too! There's some differences between the manga and the movie though. Probably the biggest difference is Kakeru's character. He's more depressed and relatable from a person who has experienced severe depression's viewpoint.

the manga is great (if compared to another shoujo), so this better not be disappointing.

I'm hoping the anime will make me cry for a bit if they know how to use music right.

I've seen the movie and I actually enjoyed it. The main character was quite the typical shy female lead but the way they portrayed the story line in the movie was done well. I'll definitely watch the anime adaptation!

I expect this to become another Erased of this season. I have read a bit of the manga and honestly the time-travel is gimmicky at best, and taking that out of the equation and you will be left with the same generic run-of-the-mill romance story.

haven't read the manga but the plot seems really captivating. I think it would definitely be more interesting than the typical slice of life.

Also from the teaser trailer the animation looks very aesthethetically pleasing, and the characters look really cute. So there's always that if the main storyline is a trainwreck

7.5/10 expectations

It's getting a lot of hype right now,so I'm expected it to be overrated. Based on the description, I'm also expecting it to have "Forced feels". By that I mean, it will probably be really pushy at trying to make the audience feel bad and just leave me shaking my head.

You know, not that it's any of my buisness, but I'm pretty sure this has a very high chance of becoming a good anime. Possibly of of the best of the season.

Quick notes to take into consideration. The director for this anime was the director for Steins;Gate. The Manga is rated as 26 spot on MAL. As well, who doesn't want to forget the ending of ERASED. I know I sure do.
