| It is the most emotional anime series I've ever seen. No matter how many times people bitch about the ending, Afterstory is still a great show about the values of family and such. Unless of course, you fucking hate family and what not. |

| Clannad as a series is good with great emotional moments and family themes especially in the second half. The downside is that you have to struggle through Clannad to get to AS, but thankfully Sunohara is there. |

| -Lighthearted and very serious, good mix of both -Lots of focus on family values and relationships -Probably one of the best OST -You will for sure cry -My favorite anime of all time -MC is very likeable and fun to watch -Good characters A.S. was one of those shows that gave me an empty void once I completed it due to how good it was. |

Its pretty much a lighthearted comedy with bits of romance in the first season.. A very "light" watch, but also have some more serious emotional moments The characters are very enjoyable as well. | If your the type of person who has tastes for "Slice of Life" even though the series is entitled as 100% certified drama title xD then why not go for it just give it a try. |

| If ur asking then u probably won't be able to get thru season 1 to appreciate season 2. For me , it took me awhile to get into it nd enjoy the characters but I personally liked season 2 better. All the drama and stuff started haopening then. The movie was ok. A sped up version of theverything first and second season. The ending wasnt terrible, the story itself was pretty interesting. I enjoyed this show and Kanon. Just something I enjoy. |
| I struggled through the first season, and still haven't bothered with AS yet. I've heard that AS is miles better than the first season, but I found the first season so awful that I don't really want to watch any more of this anime. |

| I am fairly new to anime still only having been watching it for a few years, but I have seen many great shows and movies. First show I ever watched all the way through was SAO (don't judge me.. I didn't know at the time lol) from there I wanted something deeper so I heard about Clannad. Most people said "Clannad After Story is a masterpiece but first you have to watch Clannad to understand it." Making it sound like Clannad wasn't that great. Let me tell you know that my list is up to date and over the short span of my anime watching I have seen many great shows but still I consider Clannad and Clannad After Story my favorites. I've watched movies and shows of all genres (not just anime) but nothing made me more emotionally invested than Clannad. It was literally the first piece of media that ever made me cry. I love the character... I love the story, I actually feel like it changed my life. Clannad and After Story paved the way for me to keep watching anime. Also it's top ten ranked on this site so I can't be the only person who enjoys it, sorry for the long post. |

| Read the Visual Novel , then you'll want to watch it..... Seriously though rather read the Visual Novel. Things get explained better and certain side characters get a lot more screen-time. |

| I'm actually rewatching the Clannad franchise. If you need a good reason, the BGM is amazing. Not just for the heart-warming or sad moments, but also for the funny moments. The BGM is amazing. It is also considered by many their first crying anime. Many watched Air, Kanon, and Rumbling Hearts after they watched Clannad. So I guess you can say that Clannad made the crying anime a popular genre. The good is that the male MC is entertaining to watch and has great development. The bad is that all the chicks are just meh. And you might not be too happy with the chick that the male MC picks. |
