| I thought this was better than the first ep...though I don't like Koito that much. Lol she got attacked by DRONES. I did laugh every time Haruhiko smacked or grabbed Ruru. Tiny flying people exist for these reasons. XD I thought the 'service' was more tastefully handled here. They could have been really lewd about the second half but they weren't at all. It was quite tame. Because judjing by the first 2 episodes I don't see any romantic hints by the characters I already ship HaruxReina. Considering she is a shy character and just decided to suck his finger influences this even more so. |

| This series is probably going to be pretty enjoyable overall, but the bullying of Haru is kind of ridiculous. Whether it was the multiple tosses out of the window, or the constant belittling of his collection of knowledge, this series feels like it could go into Baka & Test levels of MC abuse. Which sucks as he's probably the most interesting character here. Not many shows put a person with a love of reading and drawing as the protagonist. Particularly not when it's an "action" series of any sort. Hopefully they don't go that route though, as there's a lot here that could turn into some pretty decent character interactions. However, there was still plenty that was enjoyable about this one. The animation was still top notch, the voice acting was really good (save for how Saori Hayami is sounding a little bland, despite being a really talented VA), and there are some interesting characters in the mix (Haru, as I mentioned already, and Koito in particular). |

| I was enjoying the scene in the bedroom way too much, I was probably grinning like an idiot. It was crazy, colorful, and hilarious with that hyper music playing in the background. In terms of plot this is nothing special, but the way it is presented (the animation is sometimes simply incredible esp. the special effects) and the amount of pure entertainment so far is really nice. |

| Very enjoyable episode. Got two well animated fights, expanded the cast, introduced a new interesting power alongside nice jokes and well drawn fan service. Didn't expect KyoAni to make something that's actually fun at this point. Direction is really good, I hope it stays consistent until the end. |

| I really don't like Minase and Reina's voices... :/ And even though I think Reina's is definitely the worse of the two, I'm somehow more bothered that Minase's not very good at singing when she's meant to be someone whose power is her voice. |
| i dont mind the lighthearted, easygoing atmosphere of the anime. i actually kinda find koito's chant catchy lol. i rather them have chants than them saying/screaming the ability's name every time they use it dat op phantom summon 10/10 dat fanservice doe (again) i like the animation |
| Wow, the joke with Ichijou senselessly hitting that his fairy phantom got old super fast; it's more annoying than anything. Same with him getting thrown out the window during the UFO scene. And while I don't hate fanservice, it's starting to overstay its welcome especially when it's terribly added for just the hell of it like the random, irrelevant stretching. Anyways, as much as I like KyoAni, these jokes and terrible excuses for fan-service is probably gonna be the death of me so I'm gonna give this show about 4 episodes max. There's hope it'll be decent but I don't really see it at this point. |
| Don't know if i have patience for at least 3rd episode. The pace is so slow and it seems like the episodes are 1 hour long. Don't think that there will be some important story. The fanservice seems like they are forcing it to you. The graphics are great, but that's all. Probably will drop. |

| Another immensely fun episode. Art and animation look as sharp as ever. We finally get to see cute headphones girl too. She has an odd, and kind of long Parable. This show is consistently funny. I really do love Ruru's shenanigans. Also, glad the MC got a new power, even though it backfired. This continues to be one of the best shows of the season. |

| KyoAni is doing a great job with this show. It had the potential to be a generic harem light novel adaption, but I feel like they are doing it right, to the point where its still fun, and enjoyable to watch. I find myself quite enjoying it. Will definitely be continuing to watch it. Also, Reina is adorable... |

| No. The animation isn't awesome. Learn to make the difference between "animation" and pretty colors, fluidity, or special effects. Plus animation isn't everything, without a good composition, nice choreography during fights, and on and on, you won't achieve much. And what's so beautiful with this waaaay to long fixed shot (9s) anyway? Sure it's detailed, but what about this one (almost nothing move, and the next one is as bad) with its this background? Why nobody in the classroom is moving? Seriously, drop the "WAAAAAW SUCH GREAT ANIMATION BEST LOOKING ANIME TV OF THE YEAR". Almost nothing happened in term of animation in the two fights of this episode. Trashy anime is trash. It's so sad, especially coming from KyoAni. "WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING IT'S NOT DxD AND THERE WAS YURI-BAIT IN HIBIKE EUPHONIUM" Hibike had yuri-bait indeed, but it really was more subtle, production values and the amount of details were on a higher level btw, it wasn't too intrusive, and even kinda made sense as a whole. Sure DxD has boobs and stuff, but don't lie to yourself, Phantom World's intentions are pretty much the same. It's basically softporn. You can enjoy it obviously, but don't deny it. "B-but... why are you watching this?" First, I don't watch it to shit on fans. I love KyoAni, I want to watch every show they made, make, and I'm hyped for their future works. Plus I want to shit on this anime. Finally, let me ask you "is it really your only argument?". Edit: how did I forgot about this weird perspective. |

Ok, I like the animation and the idea BEHIND the plot. It even sounds like this is a future version of our own world, even quoting Kant and Saussure.. HOW DO YOU EVEN COMBINE fantasy and all this?? I find it brilliant. HOWEVER, besides that and all this fanservice (which is not really my thing but okay) , there's nothing else there... I'm expecting more.. |

(Robert Bresson), but "Eureka" (Albert Einstein), fanservice in this show is great and not indecent at all. But what is indecency? See, I randomly wrote some random quote about nudity in art and stuff that connects with the show at the beginning of my post, no big deal. Doesn't it explain why Mai is in such good shape? She trains her body a lot. From this, we are shown she takes her jobs seriously. |

KyoAni did a great job at paying attention to such details in the past, in some of their other works (Hibike Euphonium, K-On, etc). It's pretty obvious that they didn't put efforts like before to (sometimes) try to make the best show they possibly could, and not only visuals wise here. It gives us pretty good hints about their mindset about this Phantom, how much they (don't) care about it, and know that they aren't animating a very good anime. Plus it was obvious from the start that they won't put lots of passion in it, I mean, this isn't KyoAni. And even without the immersion stuff, this would genuinely be more pleasing to the eye. |

Free pandered to gay boys audience, Hibike pandered to gay girls audience, Amagi had brilliant ass cheeks, FMP had a beach episode and K-On while more innocent compared to others still pandered to moe SoL demographic. |

| The episode was so-so. I kinda don't like how everyone is ridiculing Haruhiko Ichijou for no apparent/valid reason. The way they mock him is getting annoying and will probably continue to happen, unfortunately. Hope he doesn't become just a simple comic relief character. His "useless" trivia is actually more interesting than any of the characters so far and they shouldn't interrupt him when he's talking. The fanservice is too forced and unnecessary... I guess they need to feel the gaps somehow and please one part of the viewers. Also - got my hopes up for a second there, but that summon was a huge disappointment. He must draw the phantom properly in order to seal it but when he wants to summon one it doesn't come out the way he drew it? What, why? |

Unless you're Hideaki Anno, or at least pretty good, this kind of shot shouldn't appear much in this kind of series, especially without a purpose. Ultimately, not a single shot shouldn't have be thoroughly thought and have a meaning, but hey. I'm pretty sure FMP aired +10 years ago and didn't have the famous "KyoAni feeling" yet. I didn't watch Amagi but I probably won't disagree with you in the future. Can't pronounce myself of Free! right now. And come on, I already responded to the "Hibike had yuri-bait", please answer to that if you want to mention it. Keion definitely was moe pandering stuff in the first season, but the second season really changed lots of things. I don't have the courage to find the multiples quote where Naoko Yamada and other members of the staff stated that K-On!! was aimed at a much larger demographic than only otaku (plus the first season didn't have a large amount of "moe moe kyun" moments... they even totally disappeared in the second one, and Sawa-chan's passion for otaku-directed-cute was less intrusive). It's not surprising if lots of japanese young woman love Keion cause this show reminded them of their youth, since despite the moe, characters interactions feel natural and even realistic to some point. And now we have Phantom World. |

| Well that was....not very good. I expected more after the first episode...Whole bunch of fan service moments which is fine in moderation or if it was little more subtle at least sometimes then it would be okay. Then there was cliche after cliche after cliche which is fine if it's at least interesting but this really wasn't...the characters really need to be something a little more...idk for the second episode it feels like it took a few steps back from the first one. Also the little teal haired fairy thing is so goddamn annoying, I don't even. I'd take Navi from Zelda floating around my head saying "HEY" LISTEN" any day of the week over giving her more screen time.. 5/7 Pretty much my reaction by the end of the episode |
