| Haikyuu: The real highlights of this series is how it captures the essence and importance of rivalry not only against other schools but also on the team as well. On-court, off-court, you can feel the tension between the characters and how this tension aids them in their growth. I mean, winning for the team is good and all, but isn't being the GOAT better? Also, Furudate-sensei has a good sense of court awareness that any possible play happening in the games is plausible and not so asspull-y (though I think there are still a few moments). KuroBas: The interactions outside the games are enjoyable and adds layers to the characters. But after Season 1, the shift of focus from Seirin to GoM destroyed whatever S1 tried to build, and Seirin players more or less became joke characters (except for Hyuuga and Kyoshi, maybe). Even Kagami slowly became an anti-thesis of what KuroBas promotes: teamwork. Also the fact that cheesy dialogues appear every minute. Good thing Aomine was badass enough to keep the enjoyment high. So my vote easily goes to Haikyuu. I daresay that it's approaching Slam Dunk level of greatness. |

| Kuroko no Basket Season 1 > Haikyuu!! Season 1 > Kuroko no Basket Season 2 > Haikyuu!! Season 2 > Kuroko no Basket Season 3. In that order. I gradually started disliking Kuroko no Basket as it went on. I'm still on the fence about Haikyuu!! season 2, but I might like Haikyuu!! altogether more than Kuroko no Basket season 2 and 3. Though I still like Kuroko no Basket season 1 the most out of both series'. |
