One Piece.. Yep....

Glad to see Nanatsu as always. Can't wait for S2, so it can get another boost.

Ore Monogatari, one of the few good anime this season. Nice stuff.

Arslan Senki ftw. Good series, but was pretty underrated. I guess people are more interested in school life, ecchi. harems.

Glad to see Chihayafuru, I plan to read the manga soon (sounds like I've said this before, but I really need to start reading)

Magi doesn't sell as well like it used to, but still nice to see it and the Sinbad spin off as well

lmao One Piece is a freaking juggernaut. Still has the #1 spot after 3 weeks XD

I'm actually kinda shocked Haikyuu's sales faltered much more than AC's did. AC's new volume has a solid 30k lead over Haikyuu's, despite Haikyuu having the anime boost.

The top 9 all have 100k volume sales, which is pretty awesome imo. Great week for sales I guess.

*7. 167,292 *,167,292 Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare Vol.1
17. *53,853 *,*53,853 Ballroom e Youkoso Vol.8

One Punch Man here we go! So far so good, but I guess the real test will begin after a few weeks. Btw, I'm shocked its first volume is above 850k, I was mistakenly assuming none were above 700k. If the other big sellers (Haikyuu, Tokyou Ghoul, AssClass and Nanatsu) follow the same pattern, surely their first volumes must have broken the 1 million mark.
Also, it seems like Haikyuu isn't receiving any effect from the anime boost... Guess sequels just don't have the same impact as the first seasons. Did Kuroko follow the same trend?
geraltOct 21, 2015 2:11 PM
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

The anime came out 3 weeks ago, so it didn't reach 850k before the anime release.

OPM did have decent sales, iirc it was top 20 in the first half of sales. It should get a really nice boost for the final few weeks of the manga year.

*2. 298,487 *,298,487 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.14
37. *27,479 *,*27,479 Nanatsu no Taizai Vol.14 Limited Edition

It sold almost 60k less. (Limited edition sales included)

50. *16,813 *,742,529 One Punch-Man Vol.3

That's a decent boost but still lower than the likes of Haikyuu, TG and NNT. Although I lold at the people who thought this will get a boost similar to AoT.

I don't get why the US loves Naruto. It isn't that great.

One Piece should be a lot more popular here.

It's just personal preference. I think One Piece is a superb series and deserves all the love it gets.

The thing about OPM is as freaking amazing as the animation is, it isn't going to be winning any awards for its story. I think people fell in love AoT due to its epic combination of superb animation, great story, and the supernatural and horror elements that seem to be very popular in anime. OPM is a superb anime imo, but those looking for a gripping story will look elsewhere. AoT was the perfect combination for fans, and the anime seems to really do the manga justice, which can't be said for many anime, though it can also be said about OPM.

Yup, for an easy reference, in 2 days, Hakyuu and AC both sold over 350k. So more than 100k less despite having an extra day is pretty substantial.

Was the anime that good? Or was the anime that bad where it didn't create a lasting impact? I mean I think it's pretty odd how insane the boost the anime was for the series, yet it's become a rather pedestrian series of the genre months after the anime ended.

I'm honestly really curious how it'll do next week. i'm wondering if it'l be able to crack 500k sales before falling off the list.

Terrible? It had 3 days to sell this time around and got over the 200k mark. If it were a whole week, it would've done much more.
Also, another season is coming out next year. There's really nothing to worry about when it comes to Taizai's sells. It's one of the biggest manga in it's magazine (bigger than FT at this point) and gets tons of special treatment (main covers and color pages like every 5 chapters).

Yeah, it's gonna be crazy, but that just means its second week on the charts will be quite lackluster.

With this week's sales, with the top 9 having single volumes over 100k and OPM almost surely being at over 100k volumes, Kingdom might not make the top 10 series list this week. We'll have to wait and see though.

Volume 14 also had 3 days to sell to and yet it sold almost 60k more. Thing is I'm aware that as a whole week it will sell more but compared to the previous volumes, the sales have been decreasing.

But I am really interested, because this was a pretty big sales week for some reason, I could be wrong, but I don't think the top 10 all being above 100k is super common, and I'm pretty sure it'll be the case for this week.

One Piece, the greatest manga of all time is number 1...again.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Woww, Isn't Furi Fura overrated? I mean it's not THAT good of a series, It's a really 'normal' shoujo manga. I guess it's not because the manga is good that it has high sales but, because it's 'Sakisaka Io's manga' that it has high sales from its 1st volume.

Great to see Chihayafuru and Magi :3 Shokugeki still hanging there good good.

Also I don't think season 2 will help boost the NNT sales that much.
