Wow, it didn't even hit 10k. I expected this to be way more popular. I don't know how the previous volumes sold though, but seeing how it's from Index's author, I thought it'd selll more.

Cavalry getting a boost, shame Asterisk not yet charting with a boost. Plenty of time left though and it may be getting a boost below the cut-off. Accel World and Heavy Object with good first week sales. Sakurako-san sells more than I realised.

Wow, didn't expect Monogatari to be first. That's cool, though. That'll be cool when the anime comes about.

Wow, didn't know there's a novel for this. Too bad it's 1 volume only. Would be cool to see more works from Bakuman adapted in other forms.

Seems like Rakudai got a noticeable boost. Hopefully the other LNs this season will too.

A series is considered having a boost in sales after anime started airing if its early volumes got an increase in sales.

Sakurako-san didn't get a noticeable boost. Vol 8 is the latest volume which was just out few weeks ago and the amount is pretty much the same as previous volumes in the first few weeks.

Rakudai is the only series that got noticeable boost so far and hopefully it will continue in the next few weeks. We'll see Vol 8 in the next weekly chart but there's a good chance we'll see other volumes too.

Monogatari raped and pillaged this list, goddamn.

DanMachi is still going strong after all this time. Better make a sequel dammit.

Rakudai got a boost which is good. Hopefully Asterisk will follow suit.

Sakurako is up there, that's good. Hopefully the older vols sell some more copies once the anime gets rolling.

Accel World teaser led to huge sales boost. Maybe the anime original shit wont do so bad after all.

I'm just glad Rokka no Yuusha finally made th- ............oh...nvm.

Those in the Top 10 Tsutaya weekly ranking always end up in Oricon's weekly chart of the same week, and some ranked 11-20 would make it too.

So we definitely will see Rakudai Vol 1 and Asterisk Vol 1 on Oricon's weekly chart 5th-11th Oct. Most likely we will see Rakudai Vol 2 too. There's also a chance we will see Rakudai Vol 3 & 4 and Asterisk Vol 2 on the chart.

And that's the problem with using rankings from a single store that leaves out a large number of light novels from its "light novel ranking" to state what will or will not be in the weekly Oricon rankings. Indeed, there were only 8 things in this week's rankings that Tsutaya even includes.

Monogatari, Sakurako and Accel World didn't get a boost since the volumes on the list are new volumes and their sales are no different than previous volumes.

Rakudai is the only one that got a boost and likely to continue in later weeks. Asterisk is getting a boost but not large enough to make the charts.

Sadly that's not the case for Kamachi's works. Just because he's the author of the Raildex series it seems many people aren't willing to try out his newer series. Its a shame too; if there's any complaints about his writing in the more recent Index novels, the novels in the other series seem to make up for it with even better writing (something I found out myself when catching up with Heavy Object this week).

The other issue is that the novels for the other series are released much more infrequently. Index has 2-3 guaranteed releases each year while the others have 1-2 each year. And for Heavy Object at least, its odd for it to release 2 volumes in a single year.

Bear in mind that Heavy Object, like all Dengeki Bunko volumes on that list, was only released on Saturday. The sales for next week will be higher than this week's.

Oh of course; there's only 2 days of sales here.

In fact, the previous 9 volumes have altogether sold over 1.2 million copies. That's a decent average across the volumes.

This is great news. Shaft better adapt Orokamonogatari

Well, they already said that they'll be adapting all of the Monogatari series so there's nothing to worry about imo, especially with the current sales of the anime and novels.

Shaft needs to adapt Okitegami Kyouko too though seeing how well it's currently doing. More NisiOisin's work is always good for me. :)

Nice. I did like the first Volume definitely different from other "Senki" genre/series like Rakuin no Monshou and Madan No Ou.I do wonder how it holds up later on though.

22. *4,831 137,636 Overlord Vol.1

Yes pls and giff Zerozaki hitoshiki's head tilt with all its glory.

It would be tricky though. Especially to display defective products twisted personalities the right way and the narrative, but I guess Shaft could handle it somehow,I feel like a movie series would be a better option. Also wasn't it mentioned somewhere that Nisio didn't want it animated or were those just rumours?its been a while.

It seems a lot of people were wondering if Rakudai could make the rankings. Rakudai Vol 1 ranking data in book-rank.net was the most accessed during the week 4th-10th Oct.
