| I honestly can't stand it, it makes me angrier than anything. Because in reality, the person telling the lie isn't protecting you they're protecting themselves. Preventing themselves from feeling bad by upsetting you. It's not even that which bugs me the most. What is the worst part, is that I want to know the truth. A lie is just superficial. Sure, not knowing the truth can prevent me from hurting, and it can make me feel momentary happiness, but it's just that. Momentary. I will learn the truth, and that makes the lie so much more painful. The truth is what matters the most. It might hurt, but I can grow from it. I can learn from what went wrong. That's what I care about. /rant Anyway, to get to the point of the thread. Can you appreciate somebody who lies to "protect" you? Discussion. |
