| I don't mean anime that just put you in a good mood, or make you excited. I mean anime where just watching it brings you complete unbridled joy. The anime that make your heart go dokidoki and your soul smile. Wow, that got psuedo-deep for a second there. Not really, though. For me, that anime is Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou. The combination of lovable characters, cheerful art, and innocent romance just makes my heart lighter every time I watch it. This topic actually came to mind while reading the manga Usotsuki Lily, a great series that I highly recommend. EDIT: Should add that you should actually explain why it makes you happy. This is too easy to just become listing if you don't. I want to know why, listing is boring. |

| Kiki's Delivery Service, Ah My Goddess, Sordemo Sekai wa Utsukushii, Witch Craft Works, Assclass, Rave Master, DBZ/Kai. Kiki's Delivey Service is the best for light stuff . Really beautiful setting and Kiki is pretty cute in a normal simplistic way not super moefied. |

The latter case is just more emphasized (I never experienced such excitement). I guess it differs from person to person, but the feeling is basically the same. Personally, I have that kind of feeling towards lighthearted and/or calm episodic series. Some obvious examples are Aria, Mushishi, Kino no Tabi, City Hunter, School Rumble, Ranma, Lupin etc. |

| It's usually sports anime that makes me happy. Seeing someone or a team achieve their goals and win is pretty uplifting. This also works in contrast though, as they can be extremely sad too. |

| Isshuukan Friends did that to me, but I just watched it once, I don't know if it would do to me the same again. It did because everytime I saw that pure and fluffy situations between the protagonists I felt warm inside. Another one would be GochiUsa, because it was so relaxing and cute that I never wanted it to stop, and everytime an episode ended, I felt, like, relieved about my life. I felt like everything didn't matter, instead of the exaggerated extent I always picture them to be. Take this deep shit, OP. |

Well I was just kidding. If I had to say some, it'll be "The Mealncholy of Haruhi Suzumia" and "Baka to test to Shoukanjuu". Love Kyon's sarcastic comments and the series itself. Too bad it won't be getting a 3rd season anytime soon :c Baka test coz it always manages to deliver the punch even if you see it coming and puts a smile on your face one way or another. Well, I was kind of aiming for more cheerful anime, but that's fine. I gotta add in Kiniro Mosaic and Yuru Yuri, my two favorite slice of life anime (that I consider completely slice of life. Kawaisou is more romance than SoL.) Cute and cheerful characters doing cute and cheerful things. I'm honestly not sure what sets the two apart from other SoL anime I've seen. |

| Chi's Sweet Home takes me to that super happy warm fuzzy place. It's short, light, fluffy and the Yamada family are the sweetest and Chi is too adorable for words. Whisper of the Heart and My Neighbor Totoro also have that effect on me. I find myself smiling the entire time I'm watching them. Working! takes me to the nice happy place too. When I watch Working! I feel like I'm spending time with some great, albeit crazy, friends. |
