| What's your take on this? Any pet peeves with specific/certain words or you just care? Usually i'm pretty tolerant towards this, it's not like everyone has to talk like a boring english novel and become amazing linguists. What about people who use words incorrectly? First thing that comes to my mind is the word "Literally" :) What about people who use ghetto talk way to much? e.g. "EH YO BLESSED STYLLZ WHAT U SAYIN YA FEEL ME YO I GOT BARE PATIENCE FOR Y"ALL WHO BEEN TALKIN LIKE DIS ALL DA TIME YA FEEL ME" Or phrases people usually would use in video games, but apply them in non-gaming situations in real life? e.g. "Man dat math test doe" "Dat math test was OP" "I got shrekt" "gg" "REKT" Or people who say "NOPE.JPG" irl. Or any other sort of inside joke thing from a meme or a reddit post or something from the internet. Or something referencing pop culture. e.g. person 1: Is that a Trick? person 2:"TRIX R FOR KIDS" I've noticed a lot of my friends do this. It's kind of contagious. Do you think people who use these words and phrases in their conversations often just lack originality? Share stories. Notable word mentions Like, Hella, Just, etc. :D "I CANT EVEN" |

| "Gee gee, well played" comes out of my mouth occasionally as well whenever someone does something really dumb. My ghetto speak often comes out when I'm really aggrovated, which is basically thanks to my friends back in high school. Fortunately for me (or you, depends on how you look at it), my ghetto speak in German is a lot more frequent than my ghetto speak in English. So, all in all: I'm pretty tolerant as I'm an offender myself. Can't stand people saying "lol" or "rofl" in real life though. |

| Talking with broken slang like that is retarded. Using some slang from games is ok here and there but most of it is pointless since you just cant express it in everyday life outside of net. I use Noob, OP (but this is not only game releated) and Roger Dat sometimes. I still dont replace regular terms with this, my vocabulary is larger then that.
