| Lakaku has had a couple of monster seasons where he looked like he could fill that Drogba void but he doesn't seem to have the right mentality for it long term. Villa are boring so I don't watch them so I can't really comment on Benteke. I'd rather have Harry Kane tbh. |

If the club are delegating out tasks to take the pressure of the coach then that shouldn't be too bad. Paul Lambert focused entirely on the first team and didn't really care about other aspects whilst Chris Hughton tried to do everything. Certain aspects of the club suffered in both cases. I think as long as the board aren't interfering with how the manager wants to run his team then it should be fine. That potential for interfering was what I was actually worried about going into last season as we switched to a similar structure. Reckon most clubs over here will adopt it soon. |
