| Hiroyuki Sawano is a subpar composer. Kokoro Connect fucks itself in the ass by putting so much drama into Iori Nagase's character that it becomes convoluted, and in turn gives less time to focus on characters that didn't get much development. I don't know if this is controversial or just not a very known opinion, but I don't think School Days tries to be bad, but tries to be a realistic take on what it means to be cheated on and the perversion of high school boys but messes it up with poor characters and stupid interactions. |

As it is, though, my favourite bit of music in it is the little bit that plays in the next episode previews. Also, the ED is pretty kick ass. But the rest of the music in the show itself has been entirely forgettable so far. Now that I think about it, he has just been downhill since Unicorn. Guilty Crown was better than Attack on Titan, which was better than Aldnoah, etc. I guess after making the Unicorn soundtrack, you can really only go downhill, but at this point, one wonders where it stops because at this rate... |

| Tokyo Ghoul's second season is better than the first. Thematically speaking s2 is seinen and s1 is shonen. Oh, and munou is better than unravel, artistically and thematically. Code Geass is not witty at all. People only watch Mushishi for the sake of being labeled an elite. Attack on Titan is formulaic. And it's more of a shonen than the seinen it claims it is. Gen Urobuchi, Akiyuki Shinbo, Kunihiko Ikuhara, Studio Ghibli, and Shinichiro Watanabe's outputs have declined in quality. KyoAni is no longer the top dog studio. There's too much moe and too little narrative relevance in most of today's anume. |
