| Casual - I watch a lot of anime but I couldn't care less about production studios, art direction, sound design, writing/character development (from an academic pov), historical importance, ect. That's not to say that plot and whatnot aren't important, but being interesting/enjoyable is the only qualifier I use - which is admittedly subjective and completely arbitrary. Basically I like shows that are just dumb fun, or as elitist would put it, the shows that are destroying the industry. |

| Casual and elitist aren't antithetic, but I suppose it has been said already a lot of time in the thread. I'm definitely a casual considering the number of shows I watch per year now a day. Now, am I an elitist? I don't think so, but I'm always searching for quality that will fit my taste, that's for sure, so I'm very picky and critic. That would make me an "elitist" I suppose if not for the lack of self esteem necessary to look at other from above thinking that my taste is better than theirs. Wow, thinking about it, I almost ended as one of those, this is a bit frightening~ |

| I ask the readers of this thread to check my list and tell me where I fall because my spectrum is nearly across the board in my opinion. I've got some I haven't seen yet that maybe considered elitist material; however I believe most of my stuff falls into the casual category. So tell me what you think based on my list. |
