| Fun episode with Luffy's new gang. I have to say, I totally forgot this bull but riding him they go for Doflamingo's head. They started fighting with Pica whose voice and other's reactions to this are still annoying. Before that I'm so glad that Zorro didn't get lost after Pica's first attack because this running gag is horrible, ruins Zorro and also would ruin this here. |

| Pica, a walking joke. Hahaha Luffy and friends gonna rekt Mingo and crew soon enough! We got to see a little bit of Elizabello's power in breaking pica's stone form now I get it. Plus next episode will see Luffy blast pica into smithereens. Even though the frames we a bit off its still 5/5 |

| Loved the episode, it was absolutely hilarious. I was in tears when Luffy's army started laughing all at once at Pica's voice. I do wonder, though, with powerful people assembled like that, what will stop Doffy from turning most of them into puppets? |
| I hope they make Pica a boss in a future One Piece game because he would be a fun boss, with something that huge and with that funny voice. |

Normally a series airs for 48 episodes each year, so it has 4 weeks of rest. And those weeks are fixed, it has nothing to do with the author. With One Piece: Year -> TV episodes - Manga breaks 2014 -> 50 episodes - 9 breaks 2013 -> 48 episodes - 8 breaks 2012 -> 49 episodes - 6 breaks 2011 -> 48 episodes - 5 breaks 2010 -> 49 episodes - 7 breaks ... If a break in manga and anime happened around the same time is most of the times coincidence, just like this one. Mainly because the anime is 30 episodes of distance with the manga and they can always make filler episodes(with or without connection with what is happening at that moment in the "canon" anime). |

| Law has replaced Caesar as the frustrated hostage, he already can’t stand Luffy’s impulsive methods as they are the antithesis of what he stands for, and being helplessly strung along with him, rushed away from even the keys to his sea prism cuffs gives him some great content. “He’s with me!”, “No I’m not!!” I do think he’s been set up to do the same thing he did last arc however, just as back then he was lacking his heart and couldn’t fight at full potential until the last second and he got a huge moment, finally slicing Vergo in half, here he’s been limited once more. He’s hurt, tired, and in sea prism cuffs. When that key finally gets to him I’m sure he’ll get another big moment. It’s kind of like he is the protagonist, Luffy had a history of getting this kind of constraint to hold him off until the last moments and Law’s now getting that treatment. Anyways, this episode became one of bringing the Luffy army together and Zoro got to see it all. He saw giants, self obsessed weirdos, and animals come forth to kill Doflamingo. In that short time Luffy was in the colosseum and Zoro was with Wicka, Luffy made many odd acquaintances. Even during the colosseum we could see Luffy forming an army along with the others joining the Tontatta. But here we were reminded that even those who weren’t obviously on Luffy’s side have now decided to fight with him due to God Usopp. Although, it’s not exactly selfless motivation of gratitude, some may be with a tad of egotism, and others like Cavendish are adorably self centered. I do think Cavendish has decided to forgive Luffy, he obviously isn’t striking at him anymore while not holding the same sentiment for Law. But I think his primary reason for helping is obviously attention, he said it bluntly as we saw his fantasy over setting up cardboard cutouts and pretending to be humble in response to his own compliments. Amazing stuff. This does mean that Hakuba is now a direct enemy of Doflamingo, there’s a great chance that Hakuba will be unleashed in the premise of the Don Quixote Family. Further, we have the Chinjao family and the kingdom crushing Elizabello who already showed that they can contest with Pica. But my favorite of which is Abdullah and Jeet, two truly horrendous, dirty and sadistic monsters who have literally had a change of heart after seeing the miracle of God Usopp. That said, I do think the jokes went on too long over fighting for who gets to kill Doflamingo. It ended with everyone once again laughing at Pica’s voice. I honestly feel kind of bad for him, I wish he had more confidence over that. His insecurity runs deep. Rather than accepting that he has a funny voice he’s taken the route of scaring people into respecting his squeaky cadence. But, seeing Zoro spit out of laughter was a good touch. Overall one of the least substantial episodes of Dressrosa if you ask me, but not necessarily a bad one. And even though a huge strength of One Piece is its ability to make you cry out of sadness one second and laughter the next, having an episode that was just completely funny like this in the middle of this horrendous massacre that’s been manufactured by Doflamingo felt a bit weird to me! |
