| It's fine. Actually, the forums weren't what I expected. I didn't think so many people would be old and lacking purpose in their lives. For some reason I also expected more liberal political views and a more Japanese mindset overall... with a couple more weeaboos making it a big deal and tripping over themselves. But it was pretty foolish of me, and so this has been a learning experience, and I now know the real reasons people watch anime. |

| I like the MAL community a lot. It has bad sides and jerks like every other community has, but it has a lot of positive sides as well. I feel like out of all of the communities I have been apart of, MAL is the most friendly towards newer members and is easy to get involved in. Some of the mods are also very polite and helpful, so that is a plus. I just wish there were less sex threads.... |

| The community itself is pretty entertaining and there are certainly some cool people among it. Though, every community has bad eggs and the bad eggs here are the people who try so hard to be funny or cool or tough, but fail in everyway possible. Sadly, they likely don't realize they fail. Then you have certain people who aren't bad eggs, but barely show they have an average IQ. |
