They got radicalized and are on their way to being impregnated by evil or to commit savage treasonous acts against the West and the rest of the Middle East.

i have doubts all of them are radicals. It comes off to me as them trying to do the usual teenage rebellion. Just a lot of attention seeking, wanting to feel special.

Not sure why this is a surprise. The US in principle armed, supplied, even trained the rebels who became ISIS and the military force thrown at them thus far, means the US either has a broken back, or it haa decided to pursue a duel strategy. That is publicly arm twisting ISIS while hoping they take the whole region with them. Thats the typical level of intellect one finds in the CIA anyways.

US-led coalition could be rephrased as the UN. Cute that it is called the "US-led coalition" when it is something bad. This title just means that the US just sent the most to fight Isis. Although I would agree that bailing out of the country is a much better option, not like hte Middle East is close to the US, their problems are not our own.

The US' support for the Mujahidin in the 80' was done via the Pakistani and Saudi services, not directly.
So the fact that he's not a CIA agent doesn't necessarily exclude a US involvement, If there is any.

Not surprising as the Shiite militia was backed by Iran regimes. They had 'liberated' several region without help from the Iraq coalition (and they were never considered as part of the coalition too), I know once ISIS is done they will fight with each others for supremacy on Iraqi soil. ISIS is the only thing that keeps them on the same lane, funny enough as does with some Alqaeda forces in the region.

The biggest issue is now how to deal with the aftermath. Even if ISIS completely destroyed as an organization there will always be a sympathizer elsewhere, especially since the conflicts in the region still going on and remain unsolved. Also the attempt to 'normalize' western relations with Iran would rather seems to agitate the major players and allies of the west in the region, although I see it as a good measure to keep the terrorist cells in the region under control. Saddam did great job at it before, they need a new Saddam.
