| to be completely honest, didn't enjoy the second half all that much. There was potential to have the entire episode focused on the first one, because it was goddamn hilarious since the first commercial, even before they announced the contest. All of Hijikata faces were ... i'm out of words. Even those of Shinsengumi subordinates forced to clap weren't bad at all. But... seriously... using mayonnaise as a toothpaste, shampoo and bath water for all of them? Does he realize Okita will make him pay HARD for all of this? After all of this, i'm asking if i should feel sorry for the demonic vice-commander, he was daydreaming so much about the factory but... it wasn't that kind of special. No Willy Wonka or Oompa Loompas, nothing. |

| i think i go through some kind of trauma response every time i watch this episode and experience the heights of hijikata’s mayo brainrot, because i flicker through a myriad of emotions before ultimately purging it from my brain until reach this episode once again in my gintama rewatches |

| rewatched with italian dub, while eating a hamburger full of mayonnaise obviously. This time i enjoyed the second half a little more, i forgot it was about a console war and had direct references to series like Idolm@ster. But the first half, seriously... unbelievable. Sogo at some point must have taken a dump into Hiji's mayonnaise, or he will sooner or later. |
