Funny enough, there are likely people who give a show they didn't like a 1 or 2. Though, the same can be said for people who like shows and give them a 9 or 10. MAL has no accurate anime ratings and that's a fact. Unless everyone uses the same rating system, the scores get fairly inaccurate. I have found an anime underated on MAL for example, it has a 7.5 on IMDB and like a 7.1 here. |

| The only fanservice (sexual specifically) I had a problem with was in Sword Art Online. It all felt out of the blue and unnecessary. That show would have been completely fine without it. I actually rolled my eyes at one point and yelled, "Oh come on". (During a certain scene with a certain... tentacle enemy. If you have seen the show you know which part I am talking about) |

It is anything (literally anything) that a show has for the mere purpose of servicing the fans, but is not related to the plot/genre/whatever it is that you call it of the *insert medium here*. All those panty shots in Ecchi shows, they're not fanservice. All that needless shouting in DBZ, that's fanservice. As for the thread itself, I could care less about fanservice. |
