Magocracies. I don't know why those robe-wearing nerds think they can boss us around just because they know a few card tricks. This is why I have a personal vendetta against the country of Andorra (secret magocracy since pre-Roman times.) There is an anime franchicse called "Naruto" that wisely shows the correct governmental structure of a nation with a significant number of magical (although not very bright) beings among the population: feudal lord in control with the wizards doing the heavy lifting.

Any government form, like Aristotle said, can exhibit either a positive side or a degenerate side. It just depends how it is implemented and its particular stage of evolution.

None, actually. I am utterly clueless when it comes to politics, but I personally believe that no one form of governance is bad, as long as the one "governing" is just and good. Right now, I ain't so particular fond of the Chinese government lol.

This thread is sooooo revealing in it's lack of worldliness.

Eventually you guys will be old enough to understand, the government isn't some separate entity, the government is the people of the country. It might not always float your boat, but then considering how many dumb asses proudly proclaim 'they never voted' it's no wonder governments often seem at odds with the population.

Vote or shut the fuck up. If you are below voting age, remember that quote when you become voting age. If you don't vote by choice, then your opinion means sweet fucking diddly to me.
While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku.

I really dislike the ideas of Theocracies (I'll slot Magocracy under that too), Diarchy, Monarchy, Kritocracy and Kritarchy, Kleptocracy (Unless I am a part of the ruling class), Plutocracy, Ochlocracy, as well as most forms of Anarchism and ridiculous stuff like Ethnocracy. I don't see how these can be good ways to govern in any case.
I'm sure I've missed some.

I also dislike most other variations of Authoritarianism and Democracy (especially representative) as well, but these could possibly be good depending on how they are carried out.
Communism gets a special mention for having a idealistic idea that could have been good, but in most cases, it falls short. Socialistic elements can be quite good though, but again, it depends on the state in question; it's number of inhabitants and it's resources.

The best mix in my opinion would be elements of Meritocracy, bureaucratic Tecnocracy and some sort of direct democracy where such would be useful.

I'm pretty sure it's actually impossible to have a real anarchist society. People are just hardwired to follow the crowd, so as soon as a government is toppled it becomes rule of the strongest. The groups are smaller and stupider, but it's still a form of government.
This is a serious post. You're not allowed to delete it.

A pure meritocracy is the best form of government, and is unfortunately near/completely impossible to achieve, largely due to the fact that people want to leave their achievements to their descendants. Therefore, I dislike all governments which prevent the creation of meritocracies.

Judging by that list, I'd say you missed oligarchies...

I dislike communism (the only true commie country left is North Korea...even Cuba is starting to ditch their ways) and theocracies the most....monarchies can be best form of government and the worst...depending on the monarch though I guess you could apply that to all forms of government.

IMO it's not the systems that are faulty, it's the people, people a stupid and ruin everything, I hate people.
But some systems are naturally better or worse in different situations than others.
But the people are definitely a barrier in most cases too. Democracy would have been splendid if everyone were smart and easily agreed with each other just as communism would have been perfect if people weren't greedy and there weren't enough for everyone.

That I did.

The biggest problem with a monarch as opposed to other forms of Tyranny, is the fact that Monarchies relies on bloodline, which in no way guarantees that the successor of a splendid king or Queen will be as good.
A more open ended Authoritarian system on the other hand, could possibly choose it's leader by merit, with a Sith styled hierarchy decides who is the most suited to rule.

good luck finding shit that works.

I mean, technocratic meritocratically elected republics sux too. Will not ever happen.

I think most -ocracy's happen to sound good on paper. Even if they sound like shit, could sound good if you were in some great position right at the start.

If you have bread, your government is doing a good job.

Y'know what's worse than a non-voter?

People who vote -- and not have a freakin' clue about what they're doing -- OR -- better yet, they vote on the basis of "brand name" (party alliances), even if particular candidates are not "qualified" or have interests aside the very country they intend to run.

Elibility regarding 100% US citizenship is only applied to the Presidency. Senators and Representatives have a looser set of requirements for elibility.
