I'm having the feeling that most of these sieges were for defensive matters (that is defending their area which follows the religion from offenders who suddenly appeared, there's nothing wrong in going into war to defend a territory), and that spreading Islam was something done in masse later on after his death by other individuals. But I don't like history as a subject, so someone might as well do the job. |
