THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The Ideon looks so stupid yet so cool at the same time. Also, I dont like how quickly Cosmo figured out how to operate the robot. At least in the original Gundam Amuro was shown to be a smart guy who's dad designed the robot, and he even had a manual at hand. We actually see Cosmo flipping through a manual in this episode, but wtf? A manual for something they just excavated? ![]() "I'm starting to think mal is run by Xinil generating electricity on a bicycle." - idklol |
Haha, indeed the Ideon has an interesting look. The whole "trucks combing" (hey they look like bigass trucks) looks pretty silly (Transformers!?), but when it's fully formed it looks pretty cool. I think later on you'll start to fear the thing though, haha. ![]() |
I just finished the original Mobile Suit Gundam and decided to check this out next. I have to say, already has Ideon shown far more brutal scenes than its spiritual predecessor. Those images of the pilots burning up must have been pretty shocking back during its airing time. ![]() |
I cant believe Karlala was so easily accepted even tho she knew only a few words. Definitely a Yappari onna da na moment. ![]() |
I can't believe they just went and started destroying everything out of nothing. WTF? Cool episode, lots of deaths. It's much more violent than any Gundam show. I'm pretty sure Cosmo is a Newtype xD ![]() |
I wonder how far the scene where two pilots are shown dying in the explosion of their vehicle was pushing the boundaries of its broadcast hour. By the way, they had a Haro with them. Still not a fan of the combining machines but since it was a compromise to be free to make the rest, I will try to ignore it. About this robot, it's funny how mere research notes helped to use those relics. (although it was clear that they just pushed command stickds. 4/5 The Buff Clan is a ridiculous name but the aliens sure are hungry for war. ![]() Modified by Rei_III, Jul 7, 2017 1:15 AM |

Dark episode. The pacing of the action is nice, and I enjoy some of the subtleties. This is definitely the spiritual successor to 0079 ![]() |
