| What an impressive first episode, great development in the first episode already with a nice calm atmosphere but with a wonderful pace in the episode! And already ending of this great first episode with a cliffhanger! Really impressed by this first episode, great action and character development already so I'm looking forward for what's next! |

| Holy SHIT the production values!! The complete lack of CGI or cheap direction on all the complex objects, shots and movements is sorta weirding me out. I'm so used to the usual corner-cutting but there was absolutely NONE of that here. They honestly seem to even almost make a point of animating as many movements as possible. It's so refreshing. Sasuga Bones. Really liked this first episode. Dunno how the rest of the show will be, but this was at least great. There seems to be a very colorful cast of characters, with fun characterization, and some great mystery. It doesn't seem like anything especially new or unique, but it's very snug and enjoyable. And the OP and EDs are so good ahh |

| No expense was spared with the animation, I see. Akiyuki's transformation wasn't too impressive though; he just stood there until some undisciplined soldier shot him, which seems to have rendered him immobile. |

| An action protagonist whose parents are both ALIVE at the start of the story? Color me impressed. Seriously though the animation and character designs were pretty good this episode. This show is giving me very, very, very strong "Eureka 7" and "Last Exile" vibes right now. Eager for what is to come. |
| A slow paced introduction to the world that slowly lets you acclimate to the non-standard setting and understand the basics of the status quo without any exposition or giving away of any mysteries, with a gripping hook near the end. I hope all of them are as well executed as this. |
