@Ionliosite2 eh, depends on how empathic you are and how much you are able sympathize with the characters, you would've been able to enjoy the show. Rather than constructive critique, I'm sensing a hint of irrational hate from you on the show. I really fail to understand how you perceive this as a shock value rather than a plot point explaining how Acro became a lingering spirit. Execution of portraying Acro's backstory was brilliant. I guess it'd be better to ask this: what do you think would've made this better?
| @BaseLion For one not making a sad backstory for a villain of the week, I have been thinking since I made my comment back then and Acro Silky will probably be mentioned later on because of the girl getting her aura, but mind you, if the point was to make me feel sympathy for any of the characters involved it didn't do a good job since Acro Silky was, as of right now, a villain of the week who was given a backstory the moment before she died and, as I said before, I don't think we even know her human name, she is not a real character. I won't feel sympathy for a villain whose name I don't even know unless the protagonists are a bunch of jerks (something that have made me drop some manga before) in which case it might even make me like the character in question, but that wasn't the case here, and I don't consider Okarun and Momo jerks. I didn't say this was shock value, I said this was a "please cry" or as the other guy called it a "cry bait", shock value is what I said Fujimoto does. |

Is this even supposed to mean something? At least the other guy gave a legit argument, mentioning my mean score is cute at best because is not even something hidden, not the first time I see it on these forums as if it was some kind of gotcha. |

| This is the best anime episode of the year. Bar none. A wonderful self contained story with minimal dialogue at a time when self indulgent non-stop dialogues (or even worse long winded speeches or monologues) are the norm. Superb directing and framing as well. |

| The animation went hard, my emotions went harder. She was a great mom and they both deserved better. Damn, I actually cried. That was incredibly heartbreaking. I'm glad that Aira hugged the silky acrobat. I hope the child is okay. The hype is completely justified for once. Will Aira have a character development arc? |

| Inoue, Kikuko really showed her voice acting chops with this character. Very impressed with her work here. I feel she was particularly invested with this character. Edit after episode 7's completion (the initial post was 6 min into the episode): I really wasn't expecting this kind of episode... that was extremely hard to watch. The voice acting was quite horrifying to hear and the scenes uncomfortable to watch. I can see now why the seiyuu's were so invested in the characters.. the episode's script was fantastic, and very emotionally driven. I definitely want to see more story beats like this from this show. |

I'm not really sure if I'm feeling this anime as a whole, but I respect the art direction in this episode specifically. Besides how beautiful it looks, I guess I'm also feeling a little miffed that the creator conveniently portrays the tragedy of one woman's life in this episode, and then will probably show a panty shot in the next lol. But whatever, male gaze and all that. I suppose it is a shounen.

The direction is so remarkable it almost makes you forget the complete tone shift from the previous episode. I don't think fanservice is the problem, it's just that the series struggles to balance its ambitions. Mostly, it struggles to find any particular element to explore with its themes; thriving on personality, but being scarce on substance. There was nothing particular about the Acrobatic Silky woman's backstory to compel any non obvious response from the viewer. Any normal person would find the case of a prostitute mother and her stolen child tragic, yet the story doesn't go beyond what is already agreeable and known. |
