| That man who resigned, Madoka, he figured it out. He knows he's just another pawn of Makima that is to be discarded at some point. Makima definitely has some secret personal agenda! And it obviously has something to do with Denji. |
| 1. How did she survive? 2. Why didn't she know the names of the ones with contracts? 2 big questions the one the closest to her are probably going to gloss over. |

| Disliked it! Awkward directing and plot. Focus on badly introduced and/or irrelevant characters. Plus: It is obvious to any trained writer what the creator tried to accomplish. As far as I'm concerned, he failed. Keep pushing the boundaries of what can be well explained in order to surprise the audience and you end up on the other side of storytelling. The side of the worst hacks. Aka, it's good because it's ridiculous (so bad that it's almost good again). This story is carried by a handful of characters. Their creation truly an inspired masterstroke. The plot, on the other hand, the work of an amateurish tryhard. Plus, most other characters are shockingly uninspired, boring, redundant. The awful (inconsistent) power balance is another trainwreck. Finally, Kobeni sucks and adds nothing to the story. Schizoid anime overall. PS. PLOTHOLES!!! PLOTHOLES! PLOTHOLES!!! Things don't make sense. But yuck, who cares amirite? Just give us muh fanservice *soyface* |

| I'm disappointed with how fast this show fell down from a promising tarantino-esque dark comedy to this brainless, uninspiring edgefest. Many important characters die, but actually they are all alive. Wow what a surprise (yawn). Well, at least Himeno and that simp guy are done for good, although we haven't known them too much to even feel sad about them. And what's with that terrible writing anyway? First we were shown that hybrids lose their powers and get their human appearance back when they get severely damaged/exhausted, and then Denji just gets literally killed by being cut in half, but still keeps his chainsaw face. I guess all author's creativity and common sense have gone to Makima's ass, sigh. They promised me shounen Dorohedoro, but I got bamboozled. If anime continues, I'll still watch it till the conclusion with Gun and Makima, but after that I'll call it a day. |

| Chainsaw vs Katana. Also I like the added detail on Katana having blue blood, because he faced off against the Ghost Devil. Jesus, poor Aki having been broken completely by Himeno's death unexpectedly. Introduction of Tendo, Kurose and Madoka (and his exit, apparently). And what the heck, Makima's still alive?! Oh, and Kobeni's alive?! She's a terrifying hunter. But she wants to quit, such a shame. Overall, the moment that defined this episode is Makima's sudden power up. Holy shit. |
| Didn't expect Kobeni to survive of all people. Wonder why she suddenly seemed capable, even strong enough to save Denji. Makima was a bit of a disappointment though, all she did was kill fodder. |
| A bit lazy that the Sword guy's got the same design as Denji except with swords instead of chainsaws lol. Takes away form Denji and his previously unique situation/form. Probably made him similar to start some corny rivalry going. No surprise that Makima's alive and OP. |

| Another intense episode, right after one of the best episodes I've seen. Himeno's ghost was able to do one last thing, and it was activating Denji's Chainsaw's. Although Denji gave his best, he wasn't a match for the Katana Man. He got sliced in half, just like that... Power is gone too, just ran to save her life. Too bad she wasn't able to save Denji at the end. Of course Makima isn't dead, she wouldn't go down that easily. And we finally got to see one of her contracts with a Devil. WHen she asked for the prisioners with life sentences, i already knew what she was going to do, but I wasn't expecting her killing the others so easily. She seemed like Light Yagami of Death Note calling the names of his enemies and killing them one by one. This scene was so good, I swear, this anime is getting the direction of the scenes so right! And omg, Kobeni is so OP? Like, she was able to save Denji so easily, like, wow girl, you got the skills, I wasn't expecting it! Unfortunately, the other guy was really shot dead, along with a bunch of other coworkers we just got introduced like 2 episodes ago... Kobeni was able to repay for her mistake of wanting to sacrifice Denji, by saving him from the Katana Man and the other girl. Aimer's endings are always so good, and this one isn't different! I think it really gives a good conclusion to this ambush, and gives you the sad feelings of what really just went down these 2 last episodes. |

| Ok, how the hell Makima knew all the attacker names? And if she had the intel why didn't she start her elimination streak with the most dangerous foes like Katana-man and his sidekick girl with insanely powered snake demon? If this doesn't get resolved in upcoming episodes I call enormous plot hole. |
| Himeno yanking Denji's chainsaw cord with the ghost devil's severed hand was such an elegant swansong for her. That has to be the most intense application of hand sanitizer ever. Makima is absolutely visceral. And Kobeni turned out to be quite a beast herself, damn. |

| Himeno might be dead now but at the very least her ghost devil managed to do one thing before going, roused Denji and get him into Chainsaw mode and then we get an epic fight between Chainsaw Man and Katana Man in the same episode all to the strains of the 3rd ending theme which is pretty awesome I’m not gonna lie here but very quickly Denji is apparently very out classed by this opponent because when we think he’s won, Katana Man just ultimately slices him in half thus ending his fight pretty quickly. Of course Makima didn’t die at all, I mean she’s far too important of a character to just have a cheap death like that but my god the stuff involving her in this episode was just downright scary. Just the way she goes about killing Katana Man and Sawatari’s goons from very far away and then have them splattering into a pool of blood was just chilling to say the least. Something about her calm demeanour from several episodes back to up this point just heads differently for me now. Just who the hell is this Makima? Why the hell is she at a shrine? Why did she bring convicted felons to the shrine just to sacrifice them so that she can kill those gunmen from a far? Why is she so calm about all this? And who is she even contracted to in terms of devils and why does she have ANY of the powers that she displayed in this episode? The list just goes on with her and I have a feeling that’s going to be revealed in a later arc when we do get to it. But otherwise Makima’s just terrifying as a character now. You do not want to mess with her on a bad day that’s for sure. And then as if the episode gotten get any better I have Kobeni be a surprise badass, save Denji and just basically go all apeshit on Katana Man and Sawatari making them flee in a FRICKING CAR! I mean they were already freaked out about their men just suddenly out of nowhere just getting killed from Makima but Kobeni saves Denji. This was like the same character that was freaking out about almost everything a couple of episodes back but here she is a total badass. Makima and Kobeni, safe to say were certainly the highlights of this episode. Fantastic stuff I mean I don’t care what people will say about the CGI or whatever, this show is incredible. Straight up for me an incredible episode. |

| So Makima definitely has something to hide even from us if she's not willing to divulge she got shot to her other colleagues. Her powers are crazy strong, it seems she can sacrifice people by getting them to say their names and that person then gets squished ... horribly. Now that I think about it, it's oddly convenient every division is now bunched together and that she's in control, not to mention the fact she knew the names of the people that were kidnapping Denji. |
