| This is a great idea If they implement it, I can finally change that awful picture of gilbert from pandora hearts Some characters have terrible default pictures here but if you compare it to the ones on anime planet (they're trash tier), they look good. |

| What I'm referencing to is that in the " Favorite Characters " section in your profile, next to the name it will automatically display an avatar which is the same as the info page for the character. What I was thinking is that maybe we could upload a photo of the character, or at least have a couple pictures to choose from, cause some of the avatar' are just tragic. |

| There are some characters like https://myanimelist.net/character/274/Tenchi_Masaki Tenchi who have for some reason the picture which he is least iconic in... I mean why? And then you have stuff like https://myanimelist.net/character/1261/Kaworu_Nagisa?q=kaworu Who is very different in every iteration of the series and it would be great if you could specify which one you like, same with Every evangelion character. I think most people would say they love the Kaworu from 3.0. I often wish I could just say I love the manga version of Shinji Ikari, but I can't. And I am stuck with anime Shinji. And what if you want to say how much you love Gendo in Shinji Ikari Raising Project? Well there is no way to do that. And as a fan of the manga for Banana Fish, I am super offended that the pictures have been changed from the manga counterparts and the series isn't even out. I don't think it is just about the picture for me. It is also about what series MAL default says they are from. |

| When you favorite a show/manga/character, you are able to choose what cover picture you want, for example, a picture of a character from the anime, or a picture of them from the manga, available in the "Pictures" tab on pages. Personally want this, because some of the cover art for some of my favorites, are available, but not default. don't know if this is a good idea or not so lemme know what you think |

| I am all for it. Just look at kaguya sama characters, that anime is a big hit and MAL still uses manga pictures for characters like kaguya, ishigami or hayasaka. |

| I really think this is a good idea. Kitarou's picture has changed and he's an entirely different character from his first incarnation, so it'd be nice if i could specify which version of him is my favourite by using the correlating image. Granted, they removed the other pic of him... |
| Mostly for favorite characters, because sometimes the picture is just a random screenshot of the anime and in the picture section you have a lot more cooler images like some colored pic from the manga or from cover pages. For manga and anime this may not work out because people won't recognize the show at first look but at least have it as an option. |

| This has been suggested before and i really agree with it. I'd like to change the pic for a couple of my fave characters. Guts, Phos and especially Kitaro, since the pic being used isn't the version of Kitaro that's my favourite, they might as well be separate characters. They actually removed the pic of him that i liked the most. |

| Just want to point out that better pictures are more likely to make someone interested in the series a character belongs to. Also, rules said: High quality photos preferred That's weird because for some reason low quality pictures are often preferred by the mods. |
