I didn't expect where this anime headed after watching the first few episodes. Yuigure's fighting scenes were amazing. it was still a fun ride after all though. glad my girl Amoru is ok though!!

Excellent, both the ending episode and the series! Great Science Fiction story; however, the series could be longer to allow further needed or relevant story developments. Metallic Rouge suffered from the same. It took Akira, Akira the android and Yuugure to accept and bring the lovely Amoru to her rightful place.

Good loking anime. Good Waifus. Good action scenes. And thats it. Everything else went to shit real quick and i'm not gonna waste any more time on it. Disappointment of the season. 5/10

Poor Yoiyami lost her memory because of Shi*moru, she also almost killed Akira... so why is Shi*moru still alive and happy at the end of the story? at least let her be a shi*ty vegetable

It had all the makings of a good story, but this whole polyamorous thing ruined it. Amoru is an unbearable, unnecessary, and annoying character. I prefer Akira with just Yugure; they make a good couple. The story got really confusing after episode 6, it became kind of nonsensical, and part of that is Amoru's fault.

The good: Animation, character design, music (love the ending!), seiyuu work, background art was stunning too The bad: Story made no sense and went into very random directions all the time, characters suck, the ending was rushed, the lore was really interesting but I wish it was more about that and not the random stuff about relationships

Conclusion: I really enjoyed the ending. What I found funny was that Towasa died of old age after 80 years, even though there was a possibility of living longer, but it was still a fitting conclusion... Especially the fact that Akira, Yuugure, AND Amoru are now together, and since the manga goes beyond the anime, as the mangaka said, I'm even more excited to see what happens next. The anime may not have received much love from the fans, but for me, this was another absolute highlight! The only thing I didn't understand was why it was said that it wasn't worth repairing Yoiyami, but then she was repaired anyway, and suddenly the other nine siblings are still alive? Apparently, Hakubo really is the angel of them all. Overall, I enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun. And even though androids don't age, Akira and Yuugure looked older to me at the end!

12 episodes, that's the main problem, even the epilogue barely fit into the last episode. Someone wrote on Reddit that the manga will have a longer epilogue, which is very necessary. I'm glad that the ending is a happy one and that they showed other characters besides Akira, but I would have liked it to be a little longer, and they didn't really show the android sisters, they just stayed behind the scenes.

Well, so this is the end of Towa no Yuugure. I'm going to start off by saying that, as expected, this ending was really fast paced. We first have that fight between Yuugure and Amoru/Yoiyami. The idea of having that back and forth with Amoru and Yoiyami expressing to Yuugure why they were both mad at her was actually interesting, but as with a lot of things in this anime, needed more time to be explored. Not only that, but there were some moments that just didn't make sense, like, why would Amoru just tear off Akira's core? It just didn't make much sense. I also found particularly funny how in the middle of the fight, Amoru is just like "I love you as much as Akira, Yuugure" and just goes for the kiss, like that was so unexpected and they certainly didn't build up to that moment either. It was also funny how Yuugure just smacked Yoiyami after they took Akira's core off. But I have to say the fight looked really good, P.A. Works delivered with the animation for this last episode. The episode looked stunning and even in the end, with all the hair blowing in the wind, the animation looked really good! Now, I have to say that after the fight, the pacing only got worse. But before that, just a quick mention to how Yokurata was brutally murdered by Hakubo, and the only conclusion we got from that was that "he loved Towasa" I guess. Considering that Akira and Yuugure are shown to also leak that greenish liquid when they were damaged, I suppose Yokurata was also an Android, and would explain how he was alive after so many years. After the fight, Yuugure heavily suggests that both Amoru and Yoiyami are dead, which is, well, unexpected. Later on it's revealed Yuugure was just exaggerating I suppose, but whatever. And then, we finally got the long awaited moment: Android Akira meets Human Akira. Obviously that room had all the conditions to cure Yuugure, that was going to die (but then regains all her functions quite quickly), but Human Akira had to sacrifice himself (I mean, he's like 200 years old at this point). And what do we get from this confrontation between the 2? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. It's certainly the most disappointing part of the anime. After that plot twist some episodes ago, I was expecting a big revelation to the rest of the mysteries this anime had, but no, Human Akira just goes like "oh, yeah, it doesn't matter if you're a human or an android, it's all the same" and reveals he sees Android Akira as his son apparentaly, that he wanted to see grow up (but left him in a closed capsule for hundreds of years), and that he has seen everything that Android Akira has experienced, and that he is happy that he found his love. He also randomly reveals he created the ehlsea, because reasons. For real, his explanation for the creation of ehlsea was even more disappointing, since it's something present ever since episode 1, and he was like "If the world was starting new, I just decided to change things up, just for the vibes". I suppose the idea is that he regretted not having any other lover besides Towasa, considering she just abandoned him, but if that was the idea, it was poorly explained. After all this talk, Yuugure wakes up, decides those 2 minutes of rest were enough, and was like "oh, I have an important thing to say from Towasa", and I started to get my hopes up, just for her to say that Towasa loved Akira. Oh, thank you. Even so, that was probably the most emotional part of the episode. Talking about Towasa... So we'll never know why did she leave, why she accepted Yuugure to follow her, what did she do in those years after she left, like, we got 0 info about that, that was like the biggest mystery after the plot twist, and we got nothing... If the anime wasn't rushed enough, we then go for a final sprint, where they show every character that has appeared in the series (those random side stories), and we see the 2 siblings now have kids (so some years have passed ever since Human Akira died), the Sauna couple is still together, and the woman that got cheated by her husband was doing a sweater for someone, and I honestly don't know what are we suppose to take from that. After that Yuugure is like "Look Akira, Towasa is buried here" and Akira goes "Oh, Towasa, may I marry Yuugure?" and then they decidedto confess their love for each other and we got the kiss. The kiss scene had a beautiful scenery though. After the kiss Akira is like "Well, about Amoru...", and Yuugure goes "Well, we can include Amoru too" and Akira goes "Yeah, I like Amoru too", like, that dialogue seemed so inorganic... And then they decide to have their own "unique wedding", since Yuugure doesn't want to ehlsea. And then they just show Amoru waking up and hugging Akira and Yuugure, and done, "La Fino", and the anime ends. Do I even have to explain those last 2 minutes just left me confused. Like, what "unique wedding" are they making? What are they going to do with Amoru? Like, the anime focused so many episodes on this, and it ends without an answer. And ending with no answers not only happens with this thematic, but with almost everything about this anime. Everything because they spent way too much time on those random stories, and then this final episode had to be rushed. Overall, I just feel like the whole anime had a lot of ideas to explore, but it ended up not fully developing any of them, making the narrative just feel flat. I remember how unimpressed I was watching this anime between episodes 3 and 8, exactly because the story just doesn't go anywhere, and even after the crazy plot twists that happen in episodes 9, 10 and 11, we reach the final episode, and the story just felt flat once again. I also always found the dialogue between the characters, and just how the scenes went between them feel really inorganic, which is unexpected from P.A. Works, their anime usually nail exploring the relationships between the characters, but that unfortunately didn't happen. It's really sad to see how this anime ended, since it had so much potential. The setting was really unique, and the plot twist that happened in episode 10 showed that we were right thinking the potential was there. The best word to describe this anime is just "disappointing". And I'm actually quite sad about how this ended. They just ignored so many plot points they have been focusing so much in these last episodes, I mean, in the case of Amoru and her relationship with Yuugure and Akira, that was a major plot point ever since like episode 3, and it still didn't get resolved. I think that is really problematic, considering they also didn't really promote any reflective thinking with this ending either, which is another thing this anime apparentaly was trying to do, making the viewer reflect about some topics, like love relationships between more than 2 people, if Androids could feel like humans, they even had that incest story (that I suppose was also to make us reflect about the social standards, considering that ehlsea was created with the purpose of breaking those social norms), but they never really explored any of those topics properly nor have they promoted our reflective thinking about these topics. And my biggest question is where did Amoru's brother shown in the outro at the end of each episode came from? Like, she never mentioned a brother, the anime also never showed it, and it ended that way too. What I'm going to do with this information now? With all of this, I'm not really sure how much I enjoyed this anime or not. Sure, episodes 1 and 2 were really enjoyable, and the story got interesting in episodes 9, 10 and 11, but this last episode was just so enfuriating, and episodes 3-8 were, in fact, quite boring sometimes. So, I'm having an hard time giving this anime a score, since I'm between giving it a 5 or a 6. After some reflection, I'm choosing to give this anime a 5/10, mainly because it failed to deliver what it promised, and for how disappointing it is, since it's wasting such a promising story. I'm going to reflect on this score for a bit longer, and if I end up changing my mind, I'll edit the score, but for now, I feel like 5/10 is the most correct score for this anime, considering the other anime that I gave a 5 or a 6. Not all things were bad though, since this anime delivered one of my favorite ending themes of the year, "Two of Us", that is such a beautiful song! Also, the other ending Hana Hope did for this anime (the one used in episodes 0, 9 and 10) is finally available on streaming services, so that's a win! It was a pleasure reading the posts everyone created in these weekly episode discussions! Happy Christmas to everyone! Edit: Forgot to mention it, but now I also have to score the Prologue, and honestly, I'm not too sure about what to score it, since I normally would just give it the same score I gave the main anime, but the truth is that it was quite better than the overall anime, but at the same time, it's not like someone could just watch the prologue to not end up watching the full anime. However, I'm going with the 6/10 for the prologue, because the truth is that all the potential I talked about in this post mainly came from this episode 0, so I have to give it some credit. Also, here's a final screenshot from Towa no Yuugure

Am glad that Amoru got somewhat of a good ending. The real story of this anime was hers and I don't know if that was entirely intended or not. Old man Akira, after we learn that he was basically seeing/feeling what android Akira was feeling, really tried to drill it into his head that Amoru was obviously best girl, so he did good work.

This certainly wasn't another Glasslip and the final stretch of the story didn't fumble like Kami-sama ni Natta Hi, but Towa no Yuugure still greatly disappointed me. To be honest I'll rather rewatch Sirius the Jaeger and Fairy Gone over this. HibiMeshi was the (much) better P.A. Works original anime that aired this year.

I think I would've liked the ending better if there were more episodes to tell the story that this team clearly didn't have the time or budget to tell. It wasn't horrible, but the ending doesn't feel earned due to how rushed it felt. It hardly gives us any time to breathe, y'know? It's not a bad show. Not by any means, but it certainly is far from good. It could've been a lot better with more episodes and with more natural pacing. This one gets 6.1./10 โจ for me. I'd expected a lot better from P.A. Works, but this one was a tad disappointing.

It went from "possibly good" to "really bad" by the end. I liked Amaru... then they gave her huge boobies. Half the women in the future have huuuge boobies it seems. BTW: Akira and Yuugure are basically robot brother & sister... just like the real life ones. Anyone else notice that? ๐บ Who cares who they marry? They're robots who cannot have children. They can't even "make" children robots because the technology is long lost. They'll be alive for centuries after Amaru is dead. Isn't Yuugure 200 already? So many pointless sub-plots, so many idiotic plot devices. The guards making circular firing squads... twice! It lacked focus and ended up just fog & no substance. A generous 5... maybe revised to a 4 in the future.

Quite a rollercoaster ride this was but overall I thought it was a decent watch, even if it could've used a few more episodes. At the end we found out that Towasa has been dead and the real Akira decided to die after saving Yugure. Regarding Amoru, I guess she was able to get her memories back and is probably back to normal but I can't get passed the fact that she will slowly age while Yugure and Akira remain the same. On that note I wonder what Yugure's and Akira's long term purpose will be, maybe it will be to help humanity get back on track. An OVA or 2 would be nice to have some continuation but I won't hold my breath that anything else will be produced for this series. 7/10

It's always sad when a show starts out as a solid 8 and manages to fritter it away, ending up more of a 5...in particular, these last 2 eps are solid garbage in both writing and direction; I'd've rated the show higher if it had just cut off without ever airing them.

I was really surprised when they didn't just let Amoru pass in the end with the merging of their consciousness inside the android body. It would've been sad but then they wouldn't have to waste time rushing a wrap on the series for a character that was really under developed writing wise. Akira and Yugere were so cute and developed really well ESPECIALLY with the major reveal and the commitment to keep living. Almost like it was a reflection of the OG Akira and Towasa that never saw fruition because of the state of the world... weird??? HAHA. Overall despite the rushed ending I am glad Akira and Yugere can get married now! I just hope Amoru gets better development in any future projects they do. Canon or fan fiction alike. Amoru deserves better than she got. At least let her find her own love and not be the third wheel to Akira and Yugere which she clearly was at the end of this series due to a lack of development in the writing department.

Good Lord, that was so so rushed. threw everything at us just to get it over with asap. Amoru is back and it's happy ever after? yea, terrible. 2/10. good riddance to this shit show. Like, I get that the whole anime is about exploring different types of relationships, what is love, can an android love and all that but Yugure is basically the main villain, dragging Akira on a pointless journey all so that he would fall in love with her. Wish the anime wouldn't act like this was a happy ending. A happy ending would have had Akira and Towasa together at the end, not these damn clankers. |

Well said
But there were also unfinished character development as well, like we saw the rest of the android sisters, were actually still doing fine. But they never had proper roles in the story instead of OP and flashbacks, all of them never got their own seiyuus/VAs, and what personalities do they have, than being obey and loyal androids.(Only Yuugure, Hakubo and Yoiyami were allow to walk free, but Mimei is dead permanently)
Ingmar was the worst and foolish character, just because of his lovesick attitude for Towasa. This also lead to question:
1. Where are the descendants of the 5 Sages(Minus Ingmar)? their ancestors were Towasa's allies, which makes them as Akira's allies.
2. Evil Boss Android like Tera, can't be defeated so easily.
Seeing that some of the OWEL characters had reformed, was a satisfaction.

@Kelvin19192 the OWEL part at least somewhat made sense, but the rest of the unfinished stuff felt secondary to the plot, as if it was still in its development stage.

MegamiRem said: They got their happy end and this time waiting for Amoru together coming full circle. Everyone else also pretty much got their happy end and was nice to see them again one last time. We also got to see the og Akira and got to know what happened to Towasa. Pretty meh stuff overall. Quite different than what the first episode suggested. I was expecting more action adventure focused show but this was mostly romance drama. Not that I disliked the anime but the most disappointing PA works anime since Kamisama ni natta hi. For me , a 6/10 overall grade |

@KANLen09 And I also forgot, where are the resistance who oppose against OWEL? In the past they are terrorists, but in the present they would be Freedom Fighters, another character who would be the resistance leader, also could not be introduce. You are right, there's a lot of opportunity to continue the story, but ruined by FIN trademark.

I felt the story was a bit of a letdown. The synopsis, the initial plot, and even the suspense were promising, but the ending felt rushed and chaotic. I didn't hate it, but I feel the story could have been better given the initial elements.

I feel like so much of the drama and angst could have been resolved if she'd just said "yeah, Towasa died a century ago. Duh, she was a human after all". Then maybe everyone would just get over her.

...did we just get tricked into watching a long-form incest romance ending in polyamory? Yeah, I take back my defense of the show last week--they didn't do a good job of sticking the landing.

The prologue and episode 1 made me believe this would be a great anime with a huge emphasis on adventure and dismantling a corrupt government while also uncovering world shattering secretes and conspiracies with a dash of romance on the side... however the anime insists on trying to tell a half baked romance story as it's main focus, and the story elements were pushed to the side. Also doesn't help this was just 12 episodes when this type of set up should have been 24-26 episodes I did have a good time with it in general, but I'm still just so disappointed it wasn't something more grand. 6/10

the harem ending sucked....amoru shouldve never been endgame. yugure was good enough. they couldve just had amoru as a close friend or a little sister like figure.

If you think Amouro gets a happy ending, you're sadly mistaken. If you thought she was a brat as a kid, and an even bigger brat as an adult, just wait till she realizes she's the only one in the group who is aging. She's going to be downright insufferable when she's a cranky old bat and still not getting a piece of the android love fest.

This last arc felt extremely rushed. Still a great series, my #4 debut of this 2025 Q4 Season. I would give it an 8, but since we got a Happy Non-Monogamy Ending (I guess), then it's a 9/10 <3
