Towa no Yuugure Episode 3 Discussion

Damn, this episode was dead in the direction department. Episode 0 already had me worried about how broken things could get later, but I didn’t expect it to fall apart this fast… it’s looking bleak already.

And since last episode was pretty serious, I thought the rescue would lead to some kind of dramatic development, but they just brushed past it and jumped straight into a gag-filled next episode? Okay bruh.

Bro...... Why did they have to turn this in to a weirdo harem shit in the end, why does this have to focus on that elshea shit in the last 10 min. All we need to focus on in this story is the truth of towasa and the towasa andorids and the relationship between akira and yuugure thats all that matter plz stop adding more stuff to this plot we only got 12 eps, atp this is looking like a 7/10 anime right now

@5tyujk The annoying part is that "elshea" could've been unique but is basically just being used as "marriage but a different name!". I'm not ready to drop this yet, but I'm worried it's not gonna get any better from here.

@MewsicMagic Well no? im not going to drop this its not that bad as ppl tend to overreact usually especialy since MAL is toxic. But the elshea isnt really marriage its like one of those love group things. I mean OWEL eliminated the concept of Marriage so society came with a new form of it. I think what we are seeing is another attempt of such a concept its just that the anime is not putting a good spotlight on it which is weird. But the direction this episode felt a little off.

@5tyujk Yeah, that's exactly what I mean, it's supposed to be unique, but the way the anime is using it doesn't make it any different than marriage atm. I'm hoping this episode was more of an anomaly than the norm going forward, but we'll see.

@MewsicMagic I can see they were trying to do something new but it just is not the right thing, I am only watching this anime for two reasons: the truth abt towasa and her android lookalikes and the development between Yuugure and Akira. That should be the main focus of the story nothing else. Literally OWEL is only supposed to play antagonistic role for nation reformity. I mean the anime is unique as it adapts the AI and Romance differently but to be consistently unique it fails to do and thats a major problem. This anime is not an isekai yet ppl treat it like it is one. Honestly based on the first 3 eps this anime is more like I need to watch when all 12 episode come out rather than a week of waiting. I just wanna see Akira and Yuugure be happy. I am really hoping Ep 4 shuts down this elshea stuff and we focus on the main plot. Also show us more of the towasa androids there should be lots of them.

@5tyujk Crossing my fingers this is the case. I really wanna see what the deal with OWEL and the many Towa-like androids is.

@MewsicMagic I mean I went thru the trailers and teasers and OP, from what I have Yuugure is gonna fight yoiyami, the android samurai midway thru the anime. We are gonna see prolly Akira find the truth out but in the second half. My guess is they want to set the mood and tone for the first 3-4 episodes and shift into downward dark tone for the rest this can explain why the direction feels off but if anime ppl had brains they would realize that. Which is why you should only be worried abt this drama halfway. If the drama keeps doing this shit that it did in ep 3 then it will most likely go down.

@5tyujk I think it's really damn good so far, the only issue is some writing mishaps and some of the weird harem shit but apart from that its fun to watch, and that's all that really matters at the end of the day; whether you enjoy watching it or not.

@Cianbatta I mean the complaints are minimal, I just don't think atp the anime deserves to be below a 7 to put this in the same tier as trash isekai or rental girlfriend would be crazy. But I wanna see more yuugure she is the MVP of this anime. ppl be focusing on akira like we get mcs like this every fucking anime. Akira is a traditional MC but Yuugure is a 1/100 FMC I need to see more of here, especially her fighting and romance moments. In the trailer she is shown to be developing her romance even further with akira. But keep in mind Akira does not want to do this elshea shit he only likes towasa but this could change if yuugure can prove to him she loves him just as much. I gurantee you Towasa married another person and had children with ended up leading to one of her grandchildren developing OWEL possible or she just moved on with Akira being her first love. All imma say is that Akira and Yuugure should be together no amoru no f-ing elshea just a normal couple. And more TOWASA BOTS

I wonder: are all Towasa bots programmed to pursue Akira in the same way Yugure is? I know Yoiyami was looking for Akira in the last episode, but she seems to have some moral principles.
