madhouse really killing it with the pen scenes, that went unnecessarily hard.

Terrible episode. I know that this a somewhat common trope to not be able to speak your mind, but it's also a stupid one when it just continues. Come on - you had an entire day. While I hate that she may miss out, at this point I really don't think she deserves him if she is just can't speak her mind

Honestly I like how much development Yamada has gotten over the last few episodes. Let’s be real here, if either Akane or Tsubaki confessed to him at the beginning of the series. He would’ve completely destroyed all hope of romance with both of them in a very harsh manner without realising it because of what type of person he is. That’s why it’s so crucial for this build up in the story at the moment to take its time. We also get to see that Akane and Yamada feelings for each other grow at an organic pace, which is a very good thing considering this type of approach in romance story’s, lead to a healthy relationship. Anyways back to Yamada, he has definitely matured. The fact that he is being considerate of Tsubaki by following her the one day request and willing to hear her confession and let her to get it off her chest even though he’s obviously going to reject her ( which is the right thing to do since he obviously has feelings for Akane ) and feels sh*tty about it. He’s still facing it head on, he’s not running from it or acting dense, he’s taking her seriously

Things kinda got awkward now that Yukari wanted to express what she feels for Yamada. But yeah sadly, it seems that Yamada has his own feelings being sorted out.

Looks like the finale will have both a rejection and a start of a new romantic phase

I feel so bad for Tsubaki :( They've handled her character so well.
This really is an exceptional romance series. It's well paced, all the characters are likable, and it makes me eek while snuggling my pillow.

Everyone is saying poor Tsubaki...but WHAT IF Yamada agrees to date her because he thinks Akane is too out of reach for him? Then Akane would never confess to avoid causing trouble. Ending the series with a lesson learned :O

Nice ending. I like Akane the most, but I think Tsubaki matches better with Yamada. Akane/Yamada is a mismatch in my opinion. Tsubaki also had the courage to confess.

Yamada's personality stinks. All he has is good looks.

Confess already why is it going so slow like common even their confession wasn't an under the Sakura one so it should not take as long as an high school anime. I seriously wanted to see their life after dating animated but now it is all over they will end it at the confession and give us a long moral ending lines

I know right? I didn’t recognize her voice (Satomi Arai) as the VA is pretty well known for voicing cats and animals!

Not that it looks better for Akane. Her indecision, and the fact that neither she or Yamada have faith in themselves, makes me think they will not end up together by the end of the season. We might have to hope for a season 2 to see any progression with these two.

The pace of this romance is actually pretty freaking fast considering the two don’t have the option of seeing each other every day like the usual high school romance couple. They went like weeks to even a month without coming into contact irl throughout the season and used to only communicate through the game ( but now over the phone and are drifting closer pretty fast for two people who are supposed to only be new friends at the moment ). The fact that they are comfortable with holding hands, touching each other, looking after each other when they’re sick and communicate very well to the point they can talk on the phone for hours about random stuff is giving major couple vibes without actually being officially yet and it’s only been 12 episodes, this sort of development is seriously fast for a Shojo anime. Seriously normal it takes like a full 24-25 episodes or even a couple of seasons to get this far with a Shojo couple. I mean we even saw a half confession by Yamada in like episode 9 or 10 ( forgot which one ) and he was bold and straightforward about it too. Which is another rare thing you see in Shojo, the male lead straight up confessing first and being extremely sweet about it
