| Another week and another episode of Gleipnir. On this occasion, our boys looked for new comrades ... and what comrades they got (VERY very intense). Meanwhile, the relationship between Shuuichi and Clair is also going to take new levels (although they don't realize it) and the mystery about Clair's sister could begin to be clarified with the help of the lady with the mask ... The best episode so far (Fanservice is already part of the special of the series). We will have to wait for the next week! |
| Even stupider fan service this time. Oh well.. I'll keep holding on since the actual plot was decentish. I like that there is a lesbian in the show, that's neat but man they would never animate any scene like that with two dudes in a mainstream show.. If only.. | I don't understand the people complaining about the "unnecessary" nudity. People say "what was the point of getting naked in the ceremony?" Getting naked wasn't important for the ceremony, she simply wanted to get laid with Kurea, because guess what? When people wanna get laid they get naked. It's not that fucking weird is it? | So, based on masked girl's explanation about the monster form one takes, I guess the NTR-ed glasses boy has a voyeur fetish, uh? Well, it was being about time for the rapey kind of character to finally show up. This kind of series always has one or two of them and I always despise such stereotype, them being either men or women. The way how that scene was portrayed with fanservice purposes was also kinda disgusting but well. At least, that masked girl seems "kind" enough to stop when the other girl is determinate enough to say no. Anyways, back to the episode, I couldn't help but felt it extremely slow. It was more than obvious that the studio wanted to explode the ecchi tag as much as possible and as a result, the pacing took the bullet for that directive decision. As for some of the new characters that were introduced, masked girl's power seems quite useful and her backstory was actually decent. The last part was confusing tho... I guess it was her teacher/lover the one who committed suicide but the whole sequence could have been a bit more clear. Glasses boy and Yoshioka (fox girl), on the other hand, seem quite disposable. Don't think they will last long, especially considering the imminent encounter with Elena's group but we'll see. |

| I'm always having fun reading distressed comments about the nakedness in an ecchi series. Gleipnir is a bit bolder than usual, but it doesn't go beyond teasing the audience. They screwed up the cat girl's design - it's too plain and in the manga she looked more like a blonde with green eyes. Anyway, stay tuned for the next episode, it's going to be amazing if they put big money into it (I'm guessing they did, since they saved some money on the slower episodes). |

So I find it interesting. |

| Welp.. I can say that I do love my ecchi. There was plenty of ecchi in this episode, no doubt about it. But I feel like perhaps ecchi was used as filler.. could have been at least a bit more relevant to plot. Like in the ritual, if Clair actually had to have sex with the cult leader at the very least that ecchi would have been justified. Instead, it amounted to a tease of a scene that left you to imagine what could happen before the leader admitted that the real thing wasn't about the ecchi. You tease me Gleipnir. I can see a sort of minor problem when it comes to joining this crew. From the exterior, the crew doesn't seem to have any strong fighting potential. There's the camera guy who can record what he sees, there's the fox girl that knows about animal's emotions (but at least according to the ep she doesn't have the ability to directly control animals like Anivoice from My Hero Academia), and there's the leader that keeps all her subordinates in check with her special collar. What that leaves in terms of fighting-related powers are the yeti and potentially the guy who looks normal. I'm not sure how these people are going to help against the mountain gang.. and even though the leader said in this episode that there 'may' be more, that leaves the question of where this 'more' was when the gang took the picture that exposed the rest of the group. I definitely don't think it's the best idea to trust this group and go along with the ritual.. it was stated that Clair encountered the gang several days before they actually talked to each other, there was a timeskip in that respect. However, even if MC doesn't do the ritual and he's unbounded in that respect.. Clair is still stuck. The two of them still kinda need each other to get things done, so with the girl restrained it kinda handicaps him.. And if you ever feel like you betrayed the group you're just dead? This thing is molded into your skin, so who knows if this thing is removable. What if one day you make a promise that you're going to.. I don't know get snacks for everyone at the nearest grocery store. You go to the store before meeting up with the gang and you forgot to get some of the snacks. You feel like you betrayed everyone because they expected their snacks.. you're dead? Now, about the whole animal girl entering body situation. I feel like this guy caved into her waaay too much.. here I was saying in the earlier episodes that this guy had more of a spine then the Future Diaries MC. All it takes is for a girl to undress to have this guy do whatever they want to him! Heck, I think Future Diaries MC had more of a spine when it came to getting intimate with girls (then again, Gasai would have just killed em all). It would have been far more practical for him to go off on his own. Plus, I feel like for a split second the anime forgot about the fact that he admitted that whenever somebody's inside of him they get the majority of control over his body. I respect the fact that now his body is acting like it was in Square 1 with Clair. But, if he knew that people had to adjust to being inside him why in the world would he cave in? When the girl said it would be easier to mask the scent if she was inside of him he should have countered with the fact that it would take longer to actually get to the wallet. Thanks to the fact that they were f-ing around in a metaphorical and in some cases almost literal sense, Team Doggo wasn't quick enough to get to the wallet. Perhaps this also saves his ass caus the sister was there, and if he encountered the sister when he got the wallet he'd been instantly done for. And I do love my ecchi. I just have.. mixed feelings. |

| LOL that fanservice with Clair was wild. Good that nothing happened really. Hmm... a ribbon that cuts your head off when you reveal a secret? That kind of theme appeared earlier in fairy tales, but I'm positively surprised we got something similar here as a superpower belonging to a monster. :) |

| Damn is every girl going to take of her clothes in this series, not that I want to complain though ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). For a wimpy kid I didn't expect Shuuichi to cheat on Clair by letting another girl inside. He still trusts people to easily even though Yoshioka doesn't seem like a bad person. |
