Frieda is just a few months older than Myne, she just got her baptism ceremony at the point she's saying it, so it's 8 years before she leaves. As for the fact that Coming of age ceremony is 15, I can't tell anymore when it's revealed, but it's a very common knowledge throughout the story. |

I don't remember exactly when the info about the coming of age ceremony's age was but peoples are supposed to know the difference between baptism and coming of age by then. |
