Damn... I didn't expect kirito to be so affected by the conversation he had with Death gun. Overall another great episode in my opinion. Especially that duel with sinon at the end really awesome to watch!

He he didn't seem affected by the convo it was more the symbol that really got him. He at least knows that death gun is probably killing people now. Not to mention it brought up some terrible moments for him as well since that group forced him to kill three people.

I thought it was interesting to be honest and I didn't think they'd bother to include lasting effects of SAO on to him other than his obvious OP skills.

Yeah i know it was the flashback that got to him. Still its nice to see that even kirito has fears. This will defiantly make people sympathize with him more

This season gets better at every new episode.
So Kirito still has some traumatic expériences from SAO, I tought he had overcome that, after he killed that guy on the first season and then slept with Asuna.
I can't wait for them to meet in real life.

Great ep. Nice flashback of Laughing Coffin. Man talk about a crazy battle. None of them were willing to surrender. Oh got to love that despair look on Kirito I don't remember seeing that much emotion from him in a long time. I figured he was following the person eyes like he did in the previous ep but that reaction is still so beastly. Also loved the moment with Sinon and Kirito and nice how they are similar. Loved that ending with Deathgun seems to have Kirito's in his sights now.

Best episode so far. Actually saw some Kirito development. Loved when he went kinda psycho and freaked out with the flashback. It was cool to see Sinon get a bit crazy, too, trying to shoot Kirito. I don't really ship Kirito with anyone, but I like Sinon way more than Asuna. I hope they end of meeting in real life somehow. Is every girl Kirito encounters going to like him, I mean I'm not surprised, but it's a bit much. Isn't it obvious Kirito is Kirito since he looks the same with just long hair? Or do they supposedly look totally different in sach game, but made characters look the same throughout so it's easier?

Nope it was one of many things they cut out from the SAO arc to make it fit 12 episodes.

I suggest you to check yourself in into mental facility if the thought of killing someone does not give off any sort of emotion for you. That's one of major signs of sociopathy.

Deserving/notdeserving it has nothing to do with taking a life. See cops and soldiers and ptsd.
We already knew Kirito took a life from SAO. We simply now see that he took more than one life.

No it wasn't shown in the previous season. It wasn't mentioned too. In the LN, I think it was just mentioned briefly back when Kirito killed that KoB turned LC player Kuradeel. That LC got dissolved after the frontliners purged them and he was shocked to see Kuradeel as a member.

I don't think that person wouldn't be emotional if they killed someone. I think a lot of people just don't think about it or understand the feeling of having done so, and falsely think "Man if I was in there shoes I could handle that no problem" until put in the real situation.

+10. Plus he was 14-15 when he did it, with no training like a solider or a cop would have.

I always find idiots like Plushkin, who probably even haven't killed anything larger than a fly, speaking with such confidence about how they could kill another living, breathing human being, without even an after thought.

Though I do like that Kirito knows that it is a weakness and not a virtue to not be able to kill someone if it is to defend someone he loves.

I think I'm going nuts for thinking that the way Death Gun speaks and the his armor/helmet are freaking cool XD.

During Kirito's flashback of how they tried raid the Laughing Coffin's guild HQ in SAO and how the battle that ensued was a bloody hell.

Damn... Kirito seems to have gone on a rampage like a crazy guy after his meeting with Death Gun and that flashback he had.

Sinon has mad skills it would seem, really awesome skills at that.

Ah, Sinon vs Kirito, the battle I was waiting for.

LOL, I honestly was expecting Kirito to just simply be walking down the highway to meet Sinon at the other end XD.

Hell yeah! Cutting sniper bullets in half like it'd nothing! That's how Kirito rolls!

Sinon blushing was cue :3

Damn... Death Gun is there waiting...

If they can keep such good episodes, SOA S2 which was so far at spot 2 behind Aldnoah.Zero for me, can be a good competitor for the rank 1 spot for me. This episode has a good development, and Kirito finally is shown a bit more human ingame.

That PTSD was well done... You almost get to feel for Kirito when he's forced to remember and relive those moments from SAO.

I was very touched when i saw Kirito cry because of his Laughin Coffin memories.

Hope to see in the next episodes a building frendship between the protagonist and Shinon.

PS: For one second i thought that Kirito is gonna kiss Shinon due to his weakness... Anyway, Shinon did not seem very impressed from his little harem attitude at the end..

unfortunately a scope from 10 meter is still very small. I just tried with 5cm cilinder (camera lense). when i see it from 5 meters, it only have a size of 1cm. Its so small due to perspective.

thats why i though kirito have "zoom skill" from character conversion procedure.

Except that it was touched upon in First season already. He pretty much went suicidal when Sacchi died and then had a breakdown after killing the asuna-stalker. Hell the only reason he even entered GGO is due to his issues with death.

This simply showcases that its far bigger than just "killing one person". And expands upon the shit that SAO arc adaptation cut out.

Kirito, due to what happened at the start of episode, pretty much became a triggering experience for Sinnon's own ptsd.

A triggered person usually exhibits increased heart rate.
Increased heart rate = unstable aiming circle and low accuracy in GGO.

Ah, GGO, how you...

Transcend my expectations. Mhm. Even though the pacing in this season is admittedly pretty slow, I think that it has really blown my mind in terms of how much better it is compared to SAO, which was possibly the worst anime I've ever watched. I mean, I didn't expect that GGO would be any good, but hm, I do have to definitely say that this is pretty interesting, and I actually like it so far.
So in terms of action, there isn't much going on, but in terms of targeting emotions and comparison to real life, it's great.

The thing is, this season deals a lot more with emotion than it does in the previous one especially the consequences of playing SAO, not skill-wise [ though it was noted in the novels that the more experience you have with other games, the more agility you will have in future ones ], but emotionally. That was one of the major issues with season one, when Kirito went to ALO, he didn't seem to be affected traumatically by being stuck in a life-or-death game for that extended period of time. But now we see that he has been changed by playing SAO. Since killing people in SAO is essentially murdering them in real life, Kirito must have been really emotionally damaged by killing the Laughing Coffin members. Even if they were murders themselves, it's still something that will haunt him because he killed people. He was responsible for their deaths. Their families will never see them again; they'll never have a chance to escape into the real world.

This transitions into a similarity with Sinon that I didn't realize until this episode. She's also emotionally scarred by killing that bank robber. As Kirito pointed out, even though somebody might threaten to kill your family and those you love, it's still difficult to kill them. The bank robber might have killed the people in the bank and Sinon's mother, so she had to kill him, even though it went against all the principles of her moral conscience. Same with Kirito. The Laughing Coffin members were murders and they would have killed his team, so he had to kill them if he wanted to keep those he loved alive. Love is a different concept here than in the first season, where it seemed forced and artificial. GGO explores the different facets of love. It doesn't have to be romantic. Love can motivate us to do anything. Terrible things, good things, anything, as long as it's preserved.

Sinon wants to beat Kirito because to her, he symbolizes a weaker version of herself. In GGO, her avatar is emotionally strong; in GGO, she sees Kirito's avatar as weak and, when he has the emotional breakdown, probably symbolic of how she is in real life. In some ways, she wants to completely destroy who she really is because she's so scared of...being weak, and being scared, if that makes any sense. GGO matters so much to her because it's the only place and the only way that she can be strong. That's why it isn't just a game for her.

Don't think she missed on purpose. Her heart rate might be the cause of it because of her mental state. She was pissed that Kirito was throwing away the fight.

Why do you write like that? Its quite hard to read.

Yaay...this was an awesome episode!!! I can believe they actually animated the battle between Laughing Coffin and the other members...My respect for this season has greatly increased! The impact this flashback had on the story is overwhelming..It brings some kind of reality to it..

The fight between Sinon and Kirito was so intense....in more ways i could imagine...

The animation is well done..the way they portrayed Kirito's fear was unexpectedly good..the fights as well..

I really love Death Gun's character so far...and the special effects(smoke...eyes) make him look bad ass...

Can't wait for more episodes!! >o</
This is where I`d put my signature...If i had one.
