| After the first season, I studiously avoided the manga/spoilers, and it paid off pretty well. That Beast Titan was nuts. Lots of unexplained stuff going on to look forwards to as well. I'm also really digging the new animation. It looks a lot cleaner. There were some things that kept me from really loving this episode though. First, that titan doing some kind of triple lutz into a turbo dancing sprint was absolutely fucking absurd. If the new director keeps that up, I'm going to be really disappointed. In the first season, most of the titan designs were relatively minor distortions on normal people. The titan that caught Miche had a head that was like 75% eyeball, and it looked pretty dumb. Overall, I enjoyed the episode and am looking forward to the rest of this season. I just hope that they tone some of the ridiculousness down going forward. |
| DON'T THINK THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN ME BACK IN TO THIS CRAP ANY BETTER THAN THIS. Whole new titans with some of the weirdest designs yet, and apparently animal and dinosaur titans will be coming based on the opening. As if humanity wasn't already screwed enough as it is. Glad I re-watched the first season last year as well as the abridged version so the events are somewhat fresh, but I unfortunately forget some of the characters and locations, specifically during the second half when the titans emerged from the south. Outro was so strangely cheerful sounding but so creepy. Freaking fantastic episode. |

| I missed it so much and finally it's back. The art and animation was really good as always.The music is way amazing. The new opening by Linked Horizon is awesome. But I didn't like the new ending that much. Overall, it was really good. A lot of new action and we finally got to see the beast titan. But what really disappoints me is that it's only 12 episodes long. Nowadays, most of the animes are just 12 episodes long and I don't like it. |
| I'm pretty sure they just killed the civilians who saw the wall titan. I don't think that's collateral from the female titan fight. |
| A steady start but it picks up its momentum and ends with a BANG! Episode one didn't beat around the bush, I like how they proceeded right after where S1 ended and it carries on giving us no room to breathe with all the revelations, action and craziness. Did I say craziness? yes!? yep! The ending was intense! can't say that I like Mike's character, but the way he died was so gruesome. and that beast titan looked even scarier and sassy in the anime. Yeah overall this was a Great and thrilling episode! |

| I have to commend anyone who didn't cave into reading the manga after four years AND avoided spoilers this whole time. I only lasted maybe a year before it was manga time. That being said, this episode was a pretty stellar start to the new season, albeit I'm taking it with a tinge of salt since we're only getting 12 episodes after four years --- hoping for two or three cour. Either way, it's going to be fun seeing normies suddenly claim they're anime fans again since they're watching this. It's like how people watching the world cup every four years claim to be big football fans all of a sudden; but I digress, great episode overall looking forward to more. |

| Pretty good start! Great animation and sound as always, very intense fights, etc. I'm a bit worried about the length though... I only hope that after this season they don't take more than a year for the next one. I've kept myself unspoiled so far (not much of an accomplishment considering I just finished S1 a week ago XD), but I would hate to wait years to find out all the secrets behind the story. |

So I'm guessing you may like this season more than the last one. I wouldn't guarantee I'd enjoy the season just because the focus isn't on the main cast. It's not that I dislike the main cast, it's that their plot armour was set up too early before I was invested into them as characters in the last season. Besides, the first season tried to shift focus off the main cast to Levi's squad with no plot armour for drama, then failed spectacularly. So it'll really just depend if they can pull off Sasha's backstory well. I'll just have to see. |

Still a great ep even though I knew what would happen didn't expect that, I thought the show effect would be down-sided, but, it wasn't or at least wasn't as big as I thought it would be. Great ep, also that last scene was way better than in the manga, you just felt more for the guy seeing it animated imo. Might read more manga now that It didn't ruin the ep as much as I thought it did, but then again maybe not. Looking forward to ep 2 next week. I can sense hype!!!! xD Well I've been a manga reader since the 4th ep of the original season of AoT aired. It's been so long since I read the part of the manga currently being adapted, I don't remember every little detail. That and its just nice seeing color and everything animated, and especially the voices . I'm doing the same thing with Boku no Hero, reading the manga but watching the anime adaptation. Usually dont do this kinda thing and simply wait for sequels to come out and if enough time passes i will read the manga to finish things up, but with these two series i ended up liking them so much i ran out of patience and start reading the manga. |

| Woah! What the hell! They nailed the menace of the beast titan perfectly. Don't like the obnoxious gore porn at the very end - was a little too intense. We essentially got the point that the poorman's Levi was done for, but the show just kept cutting back for more screams and flesh being torn. Seemed liked overkill, but that's the show in a nutshell. |

| Wow only one episode in and it's already #20 anime on MAL.Guess SnK deserves it. The EP was good. Great developments and the intro of Beast Titan was cool but I guess he really didn't like Mike as much as we all do. Also I felt the gore part was highlighted a lot so it felt a bit uncomfortable. ED was amazing. OP nothing special |

There is enough material for 38 episodes (3 cour) Though I was expecting this arc and other arc to be animated. |
| Finally we have the second season after waiting for so long-- Opening sounds great, reminds me a bit of the first one. I didn't like the ending that much, I think it sounds really creepy. started playing I was confused af, only to find out later on that it's actually in english. Why didn't realize it sooner lol. I really wanna know more about the beast titan, but I have to wait for the next episode... |

Yes you aren't directly spoiling, but you are obviously implying that the scenes have some sort of significance, which otherwise viewers wouldn't pay attention to. So please stop being annoying as hell, and grow up. No one cares how excited you are about the connection to the manga. |

| They made the OP song too similar sounding to the previous season's so I didn't like it. I got reminded how unforgiving this anime was, I felt bad for the blonde guy that had to die. A titan finally spoke, I'm guessing he's a human that can transform. |

| AAAND WE'RE BACK!!!! It has been totally worth the wait! I really enjoyed the episode from the beginning to the end. Sad to see Mike go after we finally saw him in action. Excited to see more of Levi, though. |
| Such a good start to season 2 The music, art, and animation are top notch like always So glad I'm ever read the manga. I did get soiled on a lot though, but still excited for the rest of the season! |
