| Episodes like this remind me why I love Naruto. I like how Hashirama pointed out that the whole senju=love uchiha=hate thing is a bullshit. Everybody loves their family and friends and want to keep them save. But the way they are doing things is pure madness. I think that the foreshadowing that DarkMorpher was talking about is the body Hashirama and Madara found was from the Hagoromo clan. And we now know that I guess that the clan will become relevant later on. |

| I got chills when Madara and Hashirama were sitting on what would be the massive rock for carving out the Hokages faces looking onto the village. The symbolism for friendship and rivalry was just perfectly done. Really loved this episode, it was a really good historical moment. Can't wait to see the next one u.u |

| Not sure is this a filler or not but it sure feels that way. Although the episode itself wasn't all that bad (it had funny moments, some cool info,...), but 2 weeks? Come on :( Eeh? Madara had a brother? Well that was new to me. I wonder how that wrapped up. (I mean that younger one that is still alive, well at least he was at the time) I'm not quite fond of new ending tho... :( |

| i agree its nice to have some childhood rivals but sometimes it be nice to just have two random incredibly strong fighters fight numerous times there doesnt need to be elaborate back stories behind every single rivalry. Thats why it takes so long to finish a big fight because they stop and do flashbacks reminds me of bleach. not my most hated episode but enough flashbacks lets see some naruto action and finish this up. |

What fight? you mean the fight between them, were Harishama won? The telling of the backstory is important for Sasuke's answer, not the fight. |

| This was a very nice feel good episode of Naruto Shippuden. I happened to enjoy the Madara and Hashirama dynamic and their back story, I found it to be interesting stuff. It's sad that they had to hide their last names because of the clash between their clans. This was a very well done episode of Naruto Shippuden. I enjoyed it from beginning to ending, people may have their different opinions on the Madara and Hashirama story but I'm currently loving it and I can't wait to see more. 5/5, very excellent episode. |
| Madara's water style hits you hard with his yellow stream Hashirama looks similar like Rock Lee and Gai which is quite funny The appearance and death of Itame was short, but did made a strong impact with Hashirama's narating Clan disputes are still around here in the real world, which actually was spot on telling us how rediculous it actually is nowadays |

| Ah that's the ep I watched. Anyway, the flashback seemed rehashed. Couldn't bring myself to relate. Really wish they'd focus more on the "soul" of the anime. Execution. That scene where they were running up could have been so iconic with good effects, animation and music. Especially since the location itself is important. Okay episode, and nice ED. |
