| I'm not about to bash a group or anything, because I admit to liking some pretty stupid stuff myself. That said, the Hetalia fanbase can /sometimes/ get a little out of hand. Not all Hetalia fans, though. Also...No need to mention the Big 3 either, as that's been covered multiple times. In addition, I want to say that the much of the MAL LOGH fandom irks me a bit. I respect what people enjoy, because I enjoy anime too. But I don't like it when people are told their "taste" is terrible just because they don't like/watch LOGH... All of this aside, I am not a raving fan by any means. However, I can say I belong to many fandoms that people find annoying - Key, Higurashi, mahou shoujo, harems, etc... But we like what we like. :) I guess we all generalize about a certain group when the loudest members are often the ones that portray the group in a negative light. |

| I don't think it's anime specific since every fanbase has these few individuals that want to shove their ideas down your throat. Some shows more than other just because the fanbase is wider but you can get yelled at for disliking possibly any show. |

I admit, it may have cut much of stuff, but you still don't have to cry about that when the anime isn't even in the halfway. Remember, Steins;Gate started to get better in the episode 12. - Crazy otaku, who are crying "my waifu isn't pure anymore!!!" when their waifu's seiyuu is dating someone, and then go to send death threats to them. Also, if creator of some series DARES TO DO SOMETHING THAT ISN'T TO THEIR TASTES, death threat! (ie. That Ore no Imouto- thing) . Makes me want to think what the hell is in their minds when they do that. - Some fans, who bitch about how some series is rip-off of some other series. I would understand this if the series were actually similar, but they seem to claim this even when the only thing that's same with them is the genre.. (ie. Fresh Precure, SHUGO CHARA RIP-OFF! Really, the card symbols didn't originate from Shugo chara..) - Shugo Chara!- fans. "Tadase is in the way of my Amuto!!!!11".( I don't think Shugo Chara was bad anime, it was actually good. | I can safely say that the club is a joke, based precisely on that fame of elitism around the LoGH fans. I don't think this fame is deserved to start with, people in general are not that stupid about their stuff. Maybe the only thing I find it annoying about the fanbase is the fact they remind me again and again that I haven't watched it, by being extremely vocal about its qualities. As long as it doesn't obviously take over people's minds like some insane disease, I actually think that making well-constructed interpretations/theories are just fine. If done right, it can be a fun form of speculative discussion. On the note of Madoka, the timing of Shaft's release of the last 2 episodes in Japan didn't really help in proving against that little nod (the nod being Madoka mirroring Jesus), considering how Shaft could've released it earlier despite the initial complications regarding the hiatus. I'm not affirming or denying it, but the connection isn't really that far-fetched. Also consider that Christianity isn't exactly viewed as a commonly practiced religion in Japan, it could've just been done out of the lol-kewlness factor (after all one can only stretch the comparison far enough until you start telling me that Jesus was magical girl too). |
