| Aot the best anime this is a 10/10 episode thank you mappa for this , it has great animation . The Ed song was good it really went good with the episode . Sawano music was good . looking forward to the next episode / chapter maybe . |
| "Itterasshai" = Welcome back? Since when? I thought that was "Okaerinasai". I only read the manga in English so I had no idea what Mikasa actually said in the beginning scene. Am I missing something? Oh well. I don't speak Japanese so maybe there's a nuance here that I don't understand. It sucks that this special was divided into 2 parts. I would've preferred if Mappa just released both parts as 1 big movie even if it means I'd have to wait longer. They missed out on the huge money they could've made from a movie. |

| Brutal opening! Dang. RIP Hange, honestly deserved better imo. But her meeting Erwin and the rest was a wonderful end! </3 Ngl to me Annie & Armin doesn't make sense at all..just came off weird. I'm just glad to be watching this as it airs, just been such a event since season 1. What a ride its been! |
| First 11 mins were masterclass, Armin and Annie being lovey dovey doesn't fit right after we saw people getting brutally trampled. Characters blushing for nothing made me cringe. When isayama knows and even admitted that he cant write romance still God knows why he wrote these interactions. Floch's death was great, he goated. But it doesn't make a slight sense that he held on ship for 4-5 days while having a bullet injury. Hange's death is sooo forced, if someone is gonna die here then it should have been Levi as he was already half dead and it would have fit more with Levi's character. Animation was amazing,Ost slapped so overall i give this ep 6.5/10. Mappa did everything but it cant be helped when the source material is mid af. |

| They did an amazing job portraying the terror of the rumbling in those first 10-12 minutes even though they skipped some pages and added original things, right? They even managed somehow to elevate and render justice to Hange's self sacrifice... Unfortunately the last part will be hugely controversial, but I'm curious to see if they will change some scenes/writing since they have a lot of time until release. Is Isayama supervising this? Is there a chance changes will occur? |
